Where once he had a best friend, and a group of friends, now he has no one. He has those he works with and that is it. There is only the mission, nothing else. Friendship is unfamiliar and foreign, and not sought after, although perhaps, deep down, that tiny piece of James Barnes that still remains may crave something akin to friendship.

He has an enemy list miles long and more often than not, they're most likely his targets and now lay dead in the ground, but that doesn't mean more will continue to pop up for him to focus on, and now being trapped within New York City? There may be quite a few deaths on hand
lovers
There has only been one person James has ever allowed himself to care for more than family or friends, but it was only brief and it is long since forgotten. He doesn't love easily and he doesn't open up easily, not anymore, but that doesn't mean it's impossible
others
If there is a category that you don't feel you fit under, this would be the place to be. Whether it simply be associates, leadership, his handlers, what have you, but they hold no special, specific meaning to him

We should definitely plot. Lively, kind, young boy and the serious man. Maybe they run into each other and stuff happens? Some sort of thing forces them to have to work together?

Hmm I'd be up for that! Right now James is trying to figure out what the hell is going on, why he's in NYC, and also locate the people he knows (or thinks he knows) in NYC that had worked with HYDRA. Fail safe measures and all that lol, he just wants clarity and orders as to what they want him to do.
The Winter Solider isn't someone to come barreling in to save the day but maybe the WS is trying to get information from someone, failing, and Loki happens upon the situation, offers up whatever information he has but maybe in exchange for help with something?

I like that idea. As Kid!Loki is trying to be a good person, he would be willing to step in and stop someone else struggling, especially if he can get a deal out of it as well. Not sure what he needs help with at the present time - it would more likely be for having help later on. Sounds like it would be great fun, though.  |

Not sure if this NYC would have any type of exhibit for Captain America but I could see an innocent gesture on Loki's part (as innocent as it can be LOL) of taking him there because maybe he recognizes the WS's face from the memorial for Sgt James Barnes?
That'd be a definite 'wtf' moment haha
So WS getting information from someone, Loki ends up being in the wrong place at the wrong time, the WS stops him from getting killed, and as a thank you maybe Loki wants to show him that display?

So in the comics Kate and Bucky are pretty tight. Bucky was one of the few avengers that actually like the Young Avengers and was willing to help them - he let Kate tag aong on missions and taught her a bunch of stuff and it was pretty beautiful and she might have one had a little crush on him when she was younger. It would be a total headfuck to see him from another universe - also seeing him so young as well!
Also 616 has an avengers museum so there would be exhibits for him to visit...hell its even got a little bit on the young avengers which Kate just finds weird as shit!

That would be an interesting twist of things, wouldn't it?
Seeing as he has no powers and he seems fairly recognisable, it shouldn't be too hard to get someone wanting to kill him. So he is running away from someone/s and finds WS from that? Then thanks him by showing him the memorial? All sounds good to me. You want to start, or should I?
Also, he does know the infinity gem are involved so he may see if there may be something he can get in exchange for this information. If you want. ^^

KATE & BUCKY: oh man hahahah this would definitely be a O.O moment! This version of Bucky wouldn't be anything like the person she knew, but at the same time, the core of who he is is still the same, and maybe she's one of the people who's ultimately able to reach the part of him that's still James, and help him remember. Between her and Loki taking him to see that museum exhibit, he's just going to be like WTF?  ? lol! Poor guy. But Yeah I'd love to explore their relationship LOKI & BUCKY: Ooh that could work! If TWS just happens to be in the 'right place' at the 'right time', it might be an accidental intervention to help him. I.E. if whomever is going after Loki takes a shot or two at TWS thinking he's one of Loki's allies, TWS will retaliate and end that person haha. Also, if Loki has visited the exhibit before, maybe he recognizes TWS's face which would give him a reason to be pretty much like "man you have to see this" lol |

Kates very used to the multiverse, she's travelled to near enough hundreds of worlds, she's been to the MCU canonically as well so I think she will very much understand that you know this isn't her bucjy and she would be willing to help him. Kate would never turn her back on a fellow Avenger or would be or once was or whatever terminology you want to use. Bucky taught her a lot of important lessons in the comics, I think she would see it as a way of paying forward everything he did for her.

Sweet! I can start them a thread, where would they be likely to meet up etc? They can have a random happenstance meeting while Kates on Patrol? As one of the few Avengers atm she'll be busy trying to help keep public order etc so she would be out on patrol a lot.

Anywhere would be good! I can be pretty flexible with James. I'm thinking I'm going to have it where he was transported her mid-mission from HYDRA so he'd be likely trying to either find the people he had been working for, or hunt down Cap, or both lol. So anywhere in the city |
