PLEASE ENTER YOUR PIN. Furious typing followed the printed instructions. Kamala's fingers then returned to furiously drumming the edge of the ATM. Her eyes quickly shifted to either side. Finally, the machine authenticated her request and proudly presented to her accounts. CHECKING: 121; SAVING: 13427 The girl's face turned into a frown. She checked a few other numbers and figures, then logged off, grabbing her debit card before turning around and heading to the docks again. As she crossed fifth avenue, Kamala started counting with her fingers. "First, weird bubble around the city." Her thumb was up, followed with pouting lips. "Second, no way to call home." The thumb returned, replaced by the index and middle finger. "And last, I don't recognize any of the transactions or amounts of my accounts." Kamala let go of a big sigh. It just didn't make sense. Why would she end up with twice the amount of money on her savings account? And why was the home address listed wrong? Is there even a Maxwell street in Jersey city? She never heard of one, never mind lived there.
As soon as she reached a deserted street, Kamala morphed into Ms Marvel. With elongated limbs, she launched herself into a sprint. Within minutes, the Hudson river greeted her. She barely recognized it from the rooftop she landed on. Blowing a blond strain of her, Kamala thought, Is this just the New York effect? Or this mysterious force at play again? This was definitely a New York city. But so many details were off. Ms Marvel looked down at her hands, before clenching them into fists. "Where the hell did I land?" She was trapped. So were all the others in this city. Ms Marvel then turned her back to the Hudson. Down there, she could see people bustling through the street. The young woman wasn't sure what to think about her situation. She was both scared, excited and felt responsible for the people here. Which means I have to find a place to stay, explore New York and figure this thing out. A quick nod.

MS MARVEL HOPE THIS IS ENOUGH TO GET SOMETHING GOING!
THE KEY TO IMMORTALITY IS FIRST LIVING A LIFE WORTH REMEMBERING
Who, how, where, and why were words among billions of others that circulated Daniels mind as his padded boots carried along the cool paved walk ways of one of New York’s many streets. Long since had he stopped paying any mind to street signs, his body officially just wandering now. Even with the focus drawn from his path though, he still could not pull his thoughts together. For one so normally calm and in perfect control, he felt vulnerable and unsure in his surroundings. The lack of balance in his life not only throwing his thoughts into the whirlwind, but also messing with the very essence of who he was and his power. At first he thought it was only an after effect of being drug through space and time itself to this prison dimension but now, a few days later, he was still feeling dizzy and dazed. This place was solid in form, but the energies spilling in at random had his chi caught up in the rapids. Without a calm place to call home and a quiet spot to meditate he was only being pulled further under the mystic waters.
Come on Danny, your better than this. You’ve trained, your strong, this can’t get the better of you. He told himself again and again, the only few words that seemed to break the surface of all others that rumbled on like a coliseum of voices in the back of his mind. Reaching two chilled fingers up he pinched and massaged the bridge of his nose behind the iconic yellow dragon’s mask that covered the top half of his features. The ties fluttering out behind him as the wind picked up and a familiar scent tickled past his nose.
His foot fell just shy of the step down off a curb and into the streets, eye snapping open and cast out unto the river. A salty breath of the ocean carried over the fresh water outlet and was just enough to place a small smile on the teenage Kung Fu masters lips. At least my senses are not as dulled as my mind seems to be. He mumbled mentally to himself. Crossing over to the walk way that met up with the inlet he scanned the water’s surface and over the rolling waters face he found a moment of peace. The stronger gusts of ocean wind made it seem for a second that they were not trapped here. Leaning against the guard rail his thoughts were silenced and for the first time since he was pulled from his own New York, he felt relaxed.
Relaxation in his case though brought more than it did for most people to a man of the mystic martial arts. A focused and empty thought, was just a gateway to clarity and a new level of vision. He felt the world around him in a way very few ever could, like the river before him, all life energy moved in its own unique way and cut through the ‘real’ world with distinct signatures. That was how he sensed her, another tormented soul looking for answers. Someone differentiated by the human masses by elevated energy and sticking out like a sore thumb among those who truly ‘belonged’ here.
Leaving the river’s edge, and focused on a new goal, Danny ventured back into the hustle and bustle to find who else was like him. Lost and trapped in an unfamiliar but all too known place. Climbing the building was not hard, he had done it thousands of times with his former team, many who could swing or fly their way to great heights. Keeping up was nessesity, so he learnt fast how to gain altitude and move along the cityscape with only this legs and arms. Tight alley’s made great places to use two building walls as initial scaling points. A few jumps between them carried him up, and then it was nothing more than finding a fire escape or windows to get the rest of the way up. Once, silently, at the location he pin pointed before, he slipped over the stone edge and onto the loose gravel of the roof top. Your basic flat top roof with an access door and all the vents and power boxes. He had no idea if this person was malicious, or heroically aligned, but either way there was a reason to find out. Hero or at least something close to that meant a source of information. Villain meant a fight, and the chance to prevent an attack on the innocent. Right now though, with his mind still on the fritz, he really hopped this would turn out to be a conversation and not a drawn out battle. Fear was not part of his mind frame, it was trained away long ago, but distaste was still there and he would very much, at the least, like to see his friends again.
Stepping out just to the right of the young heroin he kept his body language relaxed and non-threatening, walking with silent footsteps over the gravel he bowed his head briefly. “Enjoying the view?” it was an ice breaker at best, nothing complicated or personal. Her suit seemed so familiar but at the same time, like himself, she seemed young. There could be no assumptions that he knew her, or that she recognized him. In a place like this you had to generally treat everyone like a stranger.

A blurry movement caught Kamala's attention on her right. Her body tensed in response, weight shifting to face the newcomer. How long has he been there? What is he up to? Ms Marvel took in the young man's posture. After reading it, she let herself relax a bit, but was still observing the other masked person carefully. "I was. Who are you?" Her tone was neutral and her question guenuine. If this was a hero, she didn't want to alienate a potential ally. And if the young man had darker motives, Kamala would see that quickly enough. The new Ms Marvel was still very inexperienced in fighting super-villains, but she knew how those went. Every Avenger fan knew. Kamala did allow herself a last glance at the sea before facing the masked youngster again. "And you, are you here for the view of the Hudson river as well?" Kamala was careful not to mention Jersey City.
The blue eyes returned to the study of the young man. Yellow mask, blond hair and a green spandex covering the usual super-body. Definitely not an Avenger. Ms Marvel bit her lower lip. He was not a hero or villain Kamala had heard of before. Maybe he is neither. But why did he approach her? Did yellow face know Ms Marvel? Not for the first time, the new heroine worried about her fake identity as Ms Marvel. People in Jersey city already suspected that she was an imposter (I mean, why would an Avenger spend her time fighting petty crime in Jersey City). But the chances of meeting a friend -or foe- of the original Ms Marvel grew with each day. And Kamala wasn't prepared quite yet.

MS MARVEL THIS IS HOW FRIENDS ARE BORN
THE KEY TO IMMORTALITY IS FIRST LIVING A LIFE WORTH REMEMBERING
As Kamala’s form pivoted to his direction his footsteps paused and he waited for ‘consent’ before moving in closer. It was nothing verbal that he required, just a sign that he was not being looked at as a threat. The green light came quickly as her muscles relaxed and it seemed for the moment she was comfortable with his presence. Slowly but cautiously he moved forward towards her attempting to get within easy speaking distance. The roar of the streets below and the rush of water from the oceanic river behind them made this a small bubble though, and with his own uncertainties it was wise to tread lightly. As he moved though, Danny tried to buy some trust be giving out his title hoping the name would capture more interest than his looks. She was the first not to comment on who he was the second their eyes drew over him. If she didn’t know him, it would almost make things easier. No pre-judgment meant less explaining and no expectations. “I'm Iron Fist, I work along side S.H.I.E.L.D. and other hero’s my age.” There was a pause to bow as he delivered his alias, keeping things formal while his voice remained warm and calmly polite. However, It was not always a good idea to drop the title of S.H.I.E.L.D. member into an introduction as it seemed that particular government branch was growing less and less popular with time. Yet, here he found it important in announcing himself as a ‘hero’. With that said, his feet finally came to rest a two meters from where Ms Marvel stood, a good distance to talk and an even better one to give reaction time if the title of S.H.I.E.L.D. hero set of some sirens or this ‘familiar’ figure was not heroically aligned.
The conversation was continued though and with every word he began to feel as though he had nothing to worry about in the way of violence tonight, with Kamala that was. While he could feel the uncertainty coursing her body with every elevated pump of her heard, he was more than confident it was just nerves from meeting a new face. Something he hoped he could calm even further by participating in idle conversation. Nodding he looked out over her shoulder to the river view behind her “I am. I find the rush of the water to be soothing. As I am sure you know this city is ripe with chaotic energy, and any chance to ‘relax’ is a moment to exploit.” Sliding his hidden blue hues back to her he held out a hand that gestured to her outfit while his next question turned the conversation to her own identity. “You look familiar but I can’t but my finger on it. Are you with the Avengers?” he asked honestly curious about where he has seen her before. It was not as if he hung out with the adult group, but it was part of his training to at least have a look at who was friend and who was foe. Remembering them all was not exactly easy though and only Ava seemed to have the mental storage space for each costumed hero in the data base.
Not wanting to make things feel overly formal or awkwardly uneventful he made his way to the edge of the roof top that looked over the river and leaned on the nearly waist high safety lip of the roof top. His back was to the rushing water, but even from here it felt as though he was right next to the water’s edge. With focus he could even drown away the cars and street chatter to hear only the sound of wave breaks and flowing water. Perhaps this would be a good spot to return for some meditation if he ever got the chance. Keeping the pressure off his new found acquaintance he turned his gaze away. Respecting her boundaries by keeping his distance he let his head crane back and eyes close as he took in a deep breath of the brine dusted air.
“Are you ‘new’ to the city?” he asked after a brief pause, emphasizing the ‘new’ as to draw attention to the potential of her being drug here like many of the heroes had been. It still felt a bit unreal to straight up ask someone if this was their dimension or not. For now, this kept things reasonable while usually achieving the same results.

Kamala nodded as the other hero gave his codename. "I'm Ms Marvel." Or at least, I pretend to be. The young woman remained impassible as Iron fist edged closer, still unsure of what the actual etiquette was amongst masked people who didn't know each other. Come to think of it, we don't really know how the avengers introduced themselves to each other. Kamala quickly mused on who would be cocky, meek or just plain wouldn't care introducing themselves. Eyes looked at the mask while her arms crossed in front of her chest. "SHIELD has a team of young superheroes?" That was news to the girl. But then, SHIELD was supposed to be a spy organization with lots of secrets. Secrets you apparently were in on as a person wearing a silly mask.
The two youngsters circled each other. Kamala had the river to her back when Iron fist continued the chit-chat. "Relax?" Not a word Kamala used very often. Her left hand fell down to rest against her tilted hips. "We do have some mysteries to solve." The woman's face remained composed. It seemed she was not the only one to feel out of place in New York. This New York. Was it really the same Big Apple she had visited a year ago? Despite expecting the question, Kamala still tensed ever so slightly when Iron fist mentioned the Avengers. She spouted her prepared answer, waving her right hand in the air. "I'm working on my own for a little while." A loud honk from the street punctuated the sentence.
Despite the awkwardness of the encounter, Kamala found herself starting to feel comfortable. Maybe it was because the two ended up being on the same side -or at least so the boy pretended-. She noticed him staring off far to the river again. Or maybe his relaxed attitude is rubbing off on me. Not that Kamala needed stress relief. She knew how to cope with stress. It had always been there in her life. Ms marvel still observed Iron Fist. Her pose shifted again, left hand now dangling loosely. "New? Yeah. I don't really recognize it." Curiosity sparkled in Kamala's eyes. The masked face waited for Iron Fist to elaborate on his strange intonation.

MS MARVEL SOOOO...YEAH YOUR STUCK HERE LOL
THE KEY TO IMMORTALITY IS FIRST LIVING A LIFE WORTH REMEMBERING
The name triggered in his mind, Ms Marvel was one of the Avengers for sure. He did not exclaim any form of the ‘aha’ moment out loud though, and instead remained placid in nature. It was not as if snapping his fingers and identifying that he knew she looked familiar would get them anywhere. Besides, he would be lying if he had stated that he knew anything of her. Even in his home world she was only a name and a face he saw over the computer screens or paper files. The woman before him was probably not even that ‘version’ of her. For now, he had to play it as if everything she said was in some way new information. Treating even the prominent figure of the Avengers as he would a stranger.
The feeling that, much like peter, he would have to treat everyone this way was unsettling. His team dynamics were built on trust, and now anyone he met with, even if similar by name and looks, would have to be treated like an unknown. He was trained to be self-reliant, and as much as he loved them, he could hold his own without a team. It was simply that idea that, he really didn’t want to. Never had he felt so alone. Even after his parents death he had the people of Kun’ Lun to be his family. This New York was only a tease of his former life and facing it was a constant strain on him mentally.
This reality did make it key to ‘make friends’ as quickly as possible though. Recognized, Avengers, or Complete Strangers, he had to identify who to trust and those he could count on. Ms Marvel, while currently on a solo act, could be a valuable asset. Even if it felt a bit odd for a strong presence of the Avengers to suddenly take things on the road and strike out on her own, he knew she was not only powerful but smart. Having her number on some form of heroic speed dial could come in very handy. “It is a pleasure to meet with you Ms Marvel. I have never had the honor but your reputation precedes you.” He explained shifting to face her now that the conversation was moving forward confidently.
Before he really touched on the fact that to her it seemed odd for SHIELD to have a team of their own super heroes, he at first had to address the fact that it seemed she was not all to informed on the whole ‘situation’ with the city. Strange, as an avenger solo or not wouldn’t she have immediately gone to their headquarters upon suddenly being in the city. Or to take up any concerns at all with what might be going on. She was hiding something, and that sudden realization that there was a breach in trust put him ever so slightly on edge.
“You don’t know do you..” he started just to clarify that she was not yet in the loop. It was the first time he felt obligated to explain the situation. He himself had only been informed of the mysteries behind New York’s state a few days ago. More questions behind the ‘reason’ then could yet be answered. The worst of it all being if she, as she probably would, had any questions or pressing concerns he would really be the worst person to try and push for answers. He didn’t even know what a Thanos was, other than from his Greek mythology classes. How he played some role in this dimensional summoning port he could only hope to explain it as ‘some kind of magic’.
“..The New York where we stand right now, may very well no be the same one you know from your past. I looks, acts, and for the most part IS New York City, but here we are prisoners. A man of great power has somehow played a roll in baring off the city in a dome of energy. Heroes and Villains alike are being sucked through tears in dimensional space and time from their home ‘worlds’ to this one city in this ‘main’ dimension.” Hearing the words come off his lips confused even him for a moment and he tried to re think an easier way to sum it all up. “Basically, if you have doubts that this is the New York from your world, It probably is not. We cannot leave the city, and there is no contact with others from our true dimensions. You will find those here that you may ‘know’ but as I know ‘of’ you, it is improbable that we were even born on the same planet. “ Not more reassuring, but perhaps a bit more clear. Having to go through the motions of giving her the ‘low down’ on everything, really did knock him back down a peg as well. This was really happening, and as much as any being, he wanted to try and shut it all out. As a hero and future leader of a whole city, he had to be a stronger man.
So, to pull up the moral he just gave her a polite smile and added in his two cents to her first few comments. “So..maybe in your world SHIELD doesn’t have a young heroic division.” There was a soft chuckle hinted at his words to try emphasis its use as a spirit lifter. Then, true to nature he explained the importance of what she seemed to think of as something with no purpose in a world with questions to be answered. “Relaxation though, is key to finding the answers we seek. A focused mind will find the fastest path to solutions, a turbid one face many more turns and trials.”

Kamala felt herself blush as Iron fist praised her based on Ms Marvel's reputation. "Er, thank you." The young woman fell silent as their special situation inside the New York city bubble was explained. What? It was a scary story, yet one that made sense with Kamala's recent misadventures. Ms Marvel let the young man finish his explanation. She shook her head at the end of the talk. "Sounds like a mess to me." It meant a whole lot of complications, but also some opportunities. If different people really came from different universes, that gave this Ms Marvel a chance at a fresh start. If I can trust this guy's words. "Thanks for the info. And no, I don't think they did. Not a public program, anyway." Kamala tried to sound confident. She'd have to confirm what Iron Fist said. But with whom? As a heroine, she was already isolated in her original world. Being in a parallel universe wasn't going to help her network of superhero friends.
But she had to start somewhere. "How many of you are there?" Kamala's face contorted as she realized her question was ill-posed. "I mean, how many of you young SHIELD heroes are stuck here?" A bit clearer. Way to go, Kamala. Maybe she should go visit the Avengers. Whichever ones may be present in this dimension, anyway. Risky. What exactly was Kamala afraid of? Even if they discovered her secret, they couldn't stop her from being a superheroine. They couldn't stop Kamala from following her calling. But you'd still be exposed as a fraud. And for now, Kamala wanted to stay hidden as the blonde, white beauty. Would Iron Fist have shared this information with her had she not been Ms Marvel? "You mentioned villains getting sucked into this trap too. Any big names?"

695 MS MARVEL BAD GUYS ARE INEVITABLE
THE KEY TO IMMORTALITY IS FIRST LIVING A LIFE WORTH REMEMBERING
The information did seem to hit her like the slap in the face it was to everyone. Shock, disbelief and even mistrust were all common reactions to the news, at least that he had seen so far and that could generally be expected. She never really voiced any of those emotions though said for the one sentence about how it was a messy situation. True to what he would expect from an Avenger, even one off on her own for the time being. He was not one to need babying or reassurance, but the strong demeanor was meant for just that, to help keep a clam when things were hectic. Little did he know that this woman before him was far from the heroine he thought her to be, but a girl younger than even he was. Had he known, there would have been a lot to say about how well she was taking it all.
When asked about how many of his dimension had been brought here he didn’t bother to try and hide the somber look that came over him. All of his friends, his team, everyone he had known were more than worlds away. “As far as I know, I am the only one pulled from my world to this one so far” from what he knew of this world, there were still people being drug here, so there was potential for him to meet a familiar face that really was a hero he grew up with. The chances of it seemed so slim in the vastness of the multiverse however. He could be the only one to ever see this city, and in this line of work there was ever present danger, and the chance that it would be the last city he EVER saw. “As much as I do miss my team and class mates, I am almost glad that I was the only one affected. This is not exactly a place that one would call ‘lucky’ to be in.” There was no denying he would be ecstatic to see those close to him again, but to see them trapped as they all were in this city was not exactly a positive thought.
Villains, one of the true dangers present to New York in this time of crisis. With so much discord here were many opportunities for the worst of people to be shown, and there was always a villain waiting to take advantage of the weakness in humanity. “I don’t know of anyone specific yet. I fear though it is only a matter of time though. Rumors of Dr.Doom are around, but I don’t know if it’s just fear or speculation, or the truth. Worst part is we will never know when the forces of darkness will be brought here, or from what world they will appear. My worst fear is we will find ourselves with those who have more knowledge then the ones we know. It will take every last hero and the strength of the civilians and city itself to keep things from being devastated by those with a dark heart.” The concern in his voice was strong, but the faith he had in the heroes and newyorkers was stronger. Danny was an optimist, but he was also a realist, all he could do was take the facts and make the best out of each situation. No sugar coating the truth, but never a doubt that there was a solution.
Looking back to her with a strong but passive tone he offered the same question to her as she had asked him a few moments ago, just with a different spin to it. “I take it, you are the only one you know of your home world here as well?”. It was not so much an ‘are you alone’ as it was a method to identify how long she had been here and if she had alliances present in the trapped city. If she had none like him, perhaps it was time to start developing them anew. As solo as she claimed to be, having someone that you could call on was always a good back up.

Maybe Ms Marvel's confidence was rubbing off on Kamala after all. The more she thought about the information Iron Fist had shared with her, the clearer it became that this was a very scary situation to be in. No. This is my own confidence. Kamala was maybe not as strong or level-headed as the original Ms Marvel, but she knew how to process information. This isn't a test, Kamala. Or maybe it was. Maybe that was the whole point. "Lucky may not be the right word. But it's also an opportunity." Cross-dimensional crime-fighting. A test. Kamala was trying to wrap her head around this idea. "And I guess only the strongest heroes and villains were sucked in here?" There was no smugness in Ms Marvel's voice. Inside Kamala's mind however, a new realization hit home. What if I'm here by mistake. What if whoever is behind this took me by mistake, aiming for the real Ms Marvel?
Ms Marvel showed concern. Catching the name of Doom, Kamala was able to camouflage the worry. "That would be dreadful news." She bit her lip. "I guess we heroes need to pool our information from our diverse original dimensions." Could they do that? Suddenly realizing that familiar faces were actually complete strangers to your home world put a significant dampener on inter-hero cooperation. "Heroes will have to go beyond their usual solo attitude." Which included her, she realized. It didn't mean she had to share the truth. But with every passing minute, Kamala realized that a visit to the Avenger tower was becoming all but inescapable. She bit her lips again.
Iron Fist's question distracted the young woman for a moment. She tilted her head and looked at him, before answering, "I'm going to assume so. Even the Avengers may not know me here. At least not this Ms Marvel." Her right hand returned to her hip as she waited for the man's follow up question.

586 MS MARVEL SOMETHING SEEMS OFF LOL
THE KEY TO IMMORTALITY IS FIRST LIVING A LIFE WORTH REMEMBERING
Danny was not one who only listened to anothers words, he was quite keen on the voice one’s body had. Kamala spoke in the tone he expected from the strong female avenger, but something about the way she was composing herself made him curious. As she tried to take a strong and confident tone, he saw how her pearly white teeth sunk into her lower lip. It was not uncommon for this news to put worry on the face of some one new to it, yet the contradicting notions he was getting from her mad he fell as though it was the first time she had to take such dark news and put on a brave face. Most of the avengers he knew could brush off this news as if it were ‘just another Sunday’ but maybe the dire situation was either worse than he thought, or Ms Marvel was a little more susceptible to uncertainty and fear then he would have assumed.
He found it odd that he wanted to reach out to the fellow crime fighter, to reassure her as she chewed at her own lip. What was it that had her nerves tangled enough to cause her to nibble nervously on her own skin. Why was she so strong vocally but at the same time obvious in showing her doubts? Perhaps the woman before him was not the experienced Ms Marvel he knew of, maybe she was younger? Pulled from a time before her leading position with the world renowned group of heroes. “It would be a great tool. There are so many here who have experience that those with less could pull from. Things we could learn from those who know a strong us, and who could help coach the young into those untapped strengths.” He chose his words specifically to see if they would hit a note with her. Was finding out some personal strengths a possibility. Did she feel there could be a stronger more experienced her in the memories of a different dimensions avenger?
The next clue that caused him to worry was how she spoke about herself. While speaking about people not knowing ‘her’ it was casual and almost as though a positive note somehow, yet while continuing on she referenced her alias as another entity. ‘Even the Avengers may not know me here. At least not this Ms Marvel.’ What other Ms Marvel was there to be known?
Apprehensive now he found the need to dig a little deeper and to do so he called her out on the error. If I was just a slip of the tongue, or meant in a different light, she would correct him. If it was a mistake as to hide something, bringing the slip up into question may send her into a panic and confirm what he had started to fear. She might not just be a Ms Marvel no one here knew, but perhaps no one anyone ‘truly’ knew. “This miss Ms Marvel? Are there more than one of you where you are from?” he inquired with a simple and kindly tone. Hidden in his breath was the growing seeds of doubt, and he was more than willing to show that he now had a small reason to doubt her. Danny would never strike without cause, and fumbled words was never anything to get riled up over. Being lied to though, was grounds for caution. I she had something to hide it made that ‘team up’ all to impossible.

"True." Kamala didn't respond very strongly to the idea of teaching. Her mind was divided on the topic. On the one hand, there was a lot of truth to the young man's words: Kamala in particular could learn from the older heroes. Maybe I ought to appear as a separate, junior superhero to get trained. That would be another identity to juggle. On the other hand, Ms Marvel would be expected to be one of the trainers. Not something this young one was comfortable doing quite yet.
It took Kamala a little while to expand her answer. She really didn't like this whole secrecy business the hero job entailed. But some secrets are necessary to keep your family safe. In the end, she opted for a middling solution. "I wonder if it's possible for... multiple versions of you to be stuck in here. I think I could learn a lot from an older Ms Marvel." Was the other hero onto her? Was he even a hero to begin with?
Despite asking herself those questions, Kamala was caught unprepared to Iron Fist's next attack. She just froze, mind scrambling for a solution. She didn't want to lie. But an answer would lead to more questions, which she did not want to answer. "I was referring to Ms Marvels from other dimensions." Stalling for time. Kamala took a big gulp before going on. "I can answer that question, but not any follow ups. They may endanger people I hold dear." Hopefully that would stop the hemorrhage.
"What do you plan to do with this information?" Kamala's trust had dried up. She got outplayed, and while her family was kept safe in the process, she did not feel comfortable. The flow of information was too one-sided. She didn't know enough about Iron Fist, and that made her tense up.

THE KEY TO IMMORTALITY IS FIRST LIVING A LIFE WORTH REMEMBERING
Kamala’s reply was not the most convincing, her body was tense now and she seemed to be trying to gather her thoughts before responding. What was she hiding that there needed to be time to get her mind together before responding. It was not a hard question of she was who she said she was, but now, even as she answered with something that could easily have explained away her pervious statement. The pause and manner in which she said it had him on edge.
Danny was not one to pass quick judgment, and for all he knew her inexperience as a ‘younger’ Ms Marvel could be flustering her. He had no reason to think she was not a hero, but just ‘who’ she was as a hero was starting to seem blurry. As she defended herself like he had just asked her what her real name was, or to take off her mask, he became even more untrusting. She spoke of protecting her family and identity, she was worried about that identity, more than just to protect who she loved. Something wasn’t adding up and she wasn’t helping her case.
Still he remained calm and friendly as he held up one hand to try and relax her. “There is no need for panic, I just want to make sure I am getting the big picture. If we are to fight together as hero’s it is important to know who is standing at your side.” He pointed out not poking at the open ‘wound’. Sliding his hand around to hold it in front of him as a gesture of exchange he offered what he hoped would help calm her back down so they could carry on “One cannot be to careful in this world, All I want is to know you are who you say you are..I have no interest in knowing or harming those close to you.” Granted in this world it was easy to say those loved ones were not even there to hurt, but there was the chance they someday could be, or that a ‘version’ of them my show up. Directly connected or not, they were still that person you cared about, and he knew it would be just as hard to see harm come to them.
“You say you are Ms.Marvel, and I do not know you enough to confirm what you say so I have to be wary of how you use your word. My apologies if you feel uncomfortable because of this.” Danny was polite, but his voice was not by any means bubbly. He was straight with her, collected and kind but there was no room for his words to be mistaken as anything but professional. There was time for being a teenager, and a time for being Iron Fist the living weapon.
“You must feel a bit one sided, was there anything you would like to ask me?” Daniel asked putting that same hand from out in front of him to his chest, fingers only lightly brushing the black dragon emblem over the green of his suit.

Iron Fist's body language spoke of fair trade. And yet, Kamala didn't feel it. There was a few things she was certain about, however. "In my dimension, I am the current Ms Marvel." She had saved people. Maybe those had only been a bunch of high school kids. She didn't save the world or had been part of the Avengers. But she was a heroine and had done good deeds. "Let me ask you something." Kamala wasn't sure if this counted as a deflection. "In a world where heroes from multiple dimensions come and meet for the first time, heroes who know only copies of the other, what should one think of a clone?" These were not uncommon in the super world. When a powerful ability was found, scientists often rushed to recreate it in some form or another. "Shouldn't our actions speak more than our origin story?" It wasn't a blatant lie. She didn't pretend to be a clone -Kamala had nowhere near the same abilities as Ms Marvel- but she wore the title and tried to live up to the name.
Questions. She had some. Ms Marvel nodded. "What are you going to do if you are the only one from your home dimension?" There was not much point in asking the male hero about his origin story. Not after Kamala's own speech and not when she had no way to confirm it. "And who do you plan to contact within this New York?" Kamala would have to see the Avengers. Kamala's questions were really aimed more at herself than the other hero. This bothered her. It was like when a girl met an boy who insisted on having her phone number. Sure, he could volunteer all the information he wanted. But that wouldn't change the uneasy feeling. It wouldn't change the creep factor. Maybe the young woman ought to call it quits and just leave. If they met again, things could possibly evolve. But he was definitely pushing things for a first meeting. Unless the superhero world works differently... Not that Kamala had that much experience in the dating world either.

574 MS MARVEL NOT THAT WHAT IS SAID HAS NO IMPORTANCE THOUGH
THE KEY TO IMMORTALITY IS FIRST LIVING A LIFE WORTH REMEMBERING
Danny could only smile hearing her so boldly state that what one did should speak volumes over what had been said. It was true, but he had never really been there to pass judgment. If it was that she was a clone all he wanted to know was just that, the truth. He had always been raised by the idea that it was easy to say something, words could fabricate and from any story, but words also formed lies and fantasy. It was always in what was done that true respect and honor could be found. The very fact that she brought it up though didn’t make her a clone, until she definitively made a statement without that air of panic about here he would remain unsure of how trustworthy she was. Just as had been said, actions spoke the loudest and he had not seen that action, all he had was her words.
“They should..” he responded plainly, agreeing with her statement verbally, but not stopping at just that. “..but all I have to know you so far by is your words.”. Holding his hands out to the side he made sure not to hold tension as he offered her the opinion she had ask for. “As for clones, while I am sure humanity has the power to make copies, I know that to each we only have one soul. No matter who we came from we forge our own path and whether born of parents or of scientific duplication, we make our own choice and as such should all be treated in equality and by what we make of the life we are given not what others think or try to choose for us.”. If she was a clone, she needed to know he was not the type to hold it against her.
When his offer to answer her questions brought one up about his own home dimension he looked down a moment watching as the faces of each of his team members moved in front of his vision. He had to face the fact that he might never see any of them again but in a way, he was ready for that. He was only meant to be in the city a year, and with an extension was granted two. However, it was not forever and he knew he had to return to his home in k’hun lun to rule and that meant no outsider contact. “I will do just as I do now. I will help who I can and try my best to return home. There is no point in fretting over what has happened, we can only look to solve the future not the past” He offered hoping it kind of answered her question. “As for my contacts, I only really know Spiderman though I have met a few others hero’s now. I assume seeing the avengers or S.H.I.E.D would also be a good start and as when I first became a hero I will work my way up and possibly into a team. How about you? Will you seek out any of the Averngers as well? Perhaps we could go to the tower together?” he offered hoping to keep this on the path to an alliance and not turn the question match into a grill that drives a wedge between them. Actions spoke loudest, and so this was the opportunity to show that they were both there to seek out ways to help the city and take up the hero mantel both of them claimed they once had.

"Then we should probably go crime-fighting together, rather than talk." Kamala responded. Iron Fist's response to her cloning question was acceptable. The young woman started calming down. Overall, this had been a productive discussion: she had learned about this whole multi-dimension business. But she was now convinced the two had hit the limit of what information they could exchange freely. Any more required more trust, which could only be built up slowly and through actions. I can't let myself get smooth-talked any further. Kamala shifted her weight around and stood tall on both her legs.
Then the young man answered her question, and discussed his next course of action. It wasn't the same thing as acting, of course, but it got a lot closer to it. "Yes. I think I'll seek out this world's Avengers." There didn't seem much of a way around it at this point. "We'll probably meet there anyway at some point." Did she want to go there alone, or accompanied? Was Iron Fist the right wingman to bring anyway? "We could go there together." She would probably go there in advance anyway, just to scout out the atmosphere. Who knew how the Avengers from different dimensions were meshing together, and how they would feel about this young Ms Marvel.
The wind broke their words for a few moments. When it stopped, Kamala announced, "I'll do my round now." Did he want to join? Ms Marvel tilted her head in a mild invitation, "I'll be jumping around the Bronx." That was probably the neighborhood to watch for her. Also, if she was here to stay, Kamala needed to find affordable housing. And a school. Her parents would skin her alive if she neglected her studies. But which school would take Kamala Khan from Jersey City?
