► MAGNETO MAY 30th
424 I like taking forever to do things | Nothing, it was like Magneto's presence on this island never even happened. It was oddly tranquil, lacking it usual flood of tourist that traveled miles to see the Statue of Liberty, though it's mere existence in this world made Erik laugh. Hovering above the rippling waters that separated Liberty Island from the rest of New York, Erik stepped foot onto the dock designated for the touring boats. Silently sighing, his tired gaze never shifted from Liberty's crown.
Years ago, Erik had destroyed the monument in an attempt to make mankind learn just what it was to truly be equal to a superior race- momentarily before dying anyway. This Lady Liberty was entirely intact, however, not a patch in its copper frame. Lifting a grey brow Erik sauntered forward, continuing to look over the statue in complete silence as he remembered the night crystal clear- especially that Rogue girl. Such a petulant girl, screaming and crying after an attempt to run away from what little help Xavier could offer her. "Children..." Magnus groaned, his feet lifting off the ground once more with a simple wave of his hand. Fortunate for him he never had the displeasure of raising any.
Erik had only arrived within New York the night before, but it was rather easy to establish what on earth he was doing there. The local news had been covering it nonstop, attempting to figure out new developments, but hour after hour nothing was new. It was enough to know that he wasn't the only one being pulled into this world, it was just unfortunate it occurred at such a particular moment. It wouldn't be too hard to believe that in a fit of rage Erik had crushed a few cars like nothing more than cans at the revelation it was all for nothing in his world, a prime opportunity ruined by mere chance.
Perching himself atop her lady's crown, Erik stared back to New York, cape quietly shifting behind him as the wind swirled around him. "I suppose liberty is needed here just the same." Muttering to himself, arms folded, he continued to stare off to nothing particular, "Just needs someone to set the flame..." His voice gruff, Erik's hands lifted to press his fingertips to his helmet, lifting it from his brow and placing it beneath his arm. If there were any telepaths here, it wouldn't hurt to let them know he had arrived, particularly if Charles was here....it would be friendly voice to hear again, even if it was only in his mind.

Being injured sucked. Being homeless sucked more, but Lorna was more focused on the needling pain in her shoulder where she had been shot and subsequently stitched up after trying to come to Tony's rescue while inebriated. Honestly, the blow to her pride hurt more than the bullet wound, but she wouldn't admit to either pain. What she would admit to, however, was being bored. Lorna had been sitting on a park bench just staring at the nature around her, trying to meditate, for the past two hours. She wasn't sure why she was trying to meditate, but it worked whenever she went crazy, so since she figured since there was nothing better to do, she decided to throw herself into the electromagnetic spectrum, which had been so calm around her, only manipulated by her presence since she had arrived in New York. It was a calming kind of peaceful to be the only one tapped into it. Five minutes. That was how long it was until she felt the first ripple. Lorna shrugged it off, chalking it up to someone appearing in the city and only that. One more minute. That was when she felt the second ripple, this one much stronger and much more controlled. Five more second. She felt someone bending the field to their will. No. Not someone. Him.
Without hesitation, Lorna shot up into the air and moved to the source of the ripple. There, standing on the crown of Lady Liberty, was her father, his helmet tucked arrogantly under his arm as he surveyed the city in front of him. Anger boiled inside Lorna as she moved closer to him, readying herself for the battle that would ensue with her one uninjured arm, the other still secured in the sling. "I never thought I'd see you out in the open with that off, dad."Her voice was a growl as she narrowed her eyes at him. Energy and power surged through her like nervous waves as she touched her feet down on the national monument just two yards away from the object of her scorn. "Give me one good reason not to take you out."NOTES :: ARE YOU MY REAL DAD? TAGS :: MAGNETO SONG :: SOME KIND OF MONSTERWORDS :: ? ? ? CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

► MAGNETO MAY 30th
431 I'm no ones dad B| | Sentimental wasn’t exactly the first word to come to mind when speaking of Erik Lehnsherr. Perhaps determined, but certainly nothing that would consider a man like Magneto to be in touch with any sort of emotion outside of anger. However, Erik was just that when he thought of Charles Xavier. The two understood each other and all of their flaws, evenly match not only in power but in wit, and now Erik’s companion and enemy was gone. Erik’s exhausted gaze didn’t shift from the city, standing patiently to hear something through his mind, but nothing came.
Letting out a disgruntled sigh, Erik reached to put his helmet back on, but paused as the energy around him shifted. His eyes shifted away from the silhouette of New York, glancing down from the crown of Lady Liberty. It wasn’t very hard to see a woman approach, bright green hair flowing behind her-Mutation at its finest when it commanded attention. Still, Erik didn’t budge, not exactly threatened by a woman with one arm in a sling, but it was curious how her power utilized the magnetic field…oddly differently from himself. This whole city was a damn curious place Erik thought to himself. Without a telepath in range, he no longer felt rushed to put the protective helmet back on.
"I never thought I'd see you out in the open with that off, dad."
Dad? Erik’s head slightly canted to the side, a smug smile slowly inching up one side of his lips. It looked like he was in for some entertainment this afternoon. He let her continue, clearly seeing the rage behind her emerald gaze. She looked damn ready to kill, pathetically.
"Give me one good reason not to take you out."
The other half of his lips met to match his smile, even a deep chuckle escaping past them, “My dear, I’m afraid you have me mistaken for someone else. I don’t think I have the displeasure of such confusion anymore.” Magneto had always commanded a presence, people knew and feared him, worshiped him as a savior, and this girl clearly didn’t have a clue just who she was talking to.
Sure, Erik had a daughter, but she died decades ago in a tragic fire- a story Erik stopped thinking about long, long ago. He never even thought of her by name now. “Besides, child, you don’t appear to be in any condition to take anyone ‘out’ as you said.” Erik’s tone was mocking the green haired woman as she took stance a little distance away from him on the Statue of Liberty.

The lack of recognition, surprisingly, cut at Lorna. As much hatred as she held for her father, as much as she wanted him to just be gone, it still stung for the man in front of her to act like he had no clue who she was. Unless, of course, he was another one of those people who were from another place and in his place she didn't exist. She wasn't sure which was preferable; this being her dad, or not. Lorna reddened slightly in response to his comment about her arm and her subsequent inability to actually cause him any harm. He did have a point. "I might surprise you; I'm scrappy." It was bull, but she still had her pride. With a sigh, Lorna placed her good arm on her hip, looking at her father with trepidation. "You really have no idea who I am?" Hope sparked inside of her at the prospect of this being someone else entirely; maybe he wasn't as big of a dickhole. "May I ask what you're doing up here, at least? Or am I just confused about that, too?" Her eyes narrowed towards him, studying his body language for any differences between the man standing in front of her and the father she, regretfully, knew. What she wouldn't give for a friggin' telepath right now... Lorna relaxed her posture, rubbing her wounded arm somberly as she waited for Magneto to respond, hoping it would give her an inkling of what the hell was going on. "Even if you don't actually know who I am, you can't possibly think I don't know who you are." Her tone was dangerous, almost threatening. She wanted nothing more than the smack the smug look off his face. NOTES :: YOU'RE ER'RYONE'S DAD TAGS :: MAGNETO SONG :: SOME KIND OF MONSTERWORDS :: ? ? ? CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

► MAGNETO MAY 30th
431 - - - | Erik couldn't help but smirk, he had been through a number of ordeals, some strictly unbelievable when retold, but this was something new, even for him. His hand crept to his side, fingertips gently pressing against the maroon helmet, and placing it delicately back on top of his head.Even though he hadn't found a need to wear it, it was rather odd to not have it on his head and Erik was a creature of habit.
Still this woman threatened him, "Scrappy doesn't tend to get people far outside of meaningless battles." Erik spoke calmly, lifting his gaze from the brow of his helmet as he stepped toward her. Footsteps walked with out fear of slipping off the edge, the bottoms of his boots laced with metal, clinging to the copper the formed Lady Liberty's hair. He wasn't intimidated, even though he could feel her presence within the magnetic field, it wasn't enough to match the experience or grace of his own powers. "I only know we share our power, but I think I would recall fathering a daughter with green hair, or a daughter at all, really." Erik clasped his hands together behind his back as he casually crossed over to her, not a step wavering.
Staring down at her, cape lifting delicately as the breeze picked up, Erik's eyes briefly shifted back to the silhouette of the city. "Observing." He answered simply to her inquiry about what he was doing on the symbol of justice and freedom. "Observing how an isolated city functions before its unavoidable war within its own walls." Elaborating, Erik continued to stare down at the woman, smirk entirely wiped from his face. "I once stood here with a young girl capable of borrowing my powers. I almost had this entire city left with nothing but mutants- and puddles." The final word was spoken in a very dark tone. Perhaps it wasn't the initial intention, but it still would have been in his favor. "A different world, but I sense similar men have similar ideas for this city."
He didn't need to say any of this to her, but she was a mutant, a mutant very similar to himself and in that he trusted in countless possibilities. This world was strange and its people were even stranger, but at some point this woman and him had crossed paths. Others had no clue who he was, even in the iconic helmet he dawned. The possibilities continued to grow. "You would be in the minority, fortunately, but yes- I am Magneto, and what do you go by, child?"

There were few things that caught the super speed mutant’s attention, few choice things that he focused on, everything else would just melt into the background. The metal of Doom’s face mask, a glimpse of red or green, little signs of his family or foes. He wasn’t big on small time crime; his focus with the Avengers was the big problems, alien invasions, super villains dressed as his friends, when the Avengers went to war with the X-Men, giant robots and the very man who can crush them with just thinking about it. Good thing these types of people never keep a low profile, good thing people in the city can spread word like wildfire. So when the words Magneto, Polaris and the statue of liberty was mention Pietro stopped dead in his tracks. He looked at the car where the broadcast came from, well his family was never subtle in the things they did, so his dear half-sister confronting their father on the Statue of Liberty was not far out of the blue.
As quickly as he stopped Pietro was off again, he ran between cars, between people, a blue of yellow and lights from the Serval Industry costume. Water soon hit under his feet, the speed he moved it was like nothing changed, from concrete to water back to the grass and concrete of the island. He opted for the stairs, mostly because he may have amazing powers he did not fly, or stick to metal things. The place was pretty empty, but when your father is a mutant terrorist people tend to clear out fast. Step after step he climb the monument before coming to the crown, if he didn’t have his mutation he was sure he would have been winded. He looked out each window to find the best place to well, be snarky at his family from, there was little he could do other than run up and down the woman on the outside knocking into them, standing still on her wasn’t ideal, he didn’t like the idea he could slip right off.
Opening one window he leaned out looking towards his sister and father. “Sorry I am late, seems my invitation for this family gathering was lost in the mail.” He leaned on his for arms his solders not pressing the frame of the window. “Next time, I get to pick the spot; this is less than ideal for me, being the only one of us who can’t fly.” He looked between the two Masters of magnetism; he could tell the pissed off face of Lorna, but his father held one of confusion. He rose a brow at the situation, what had he interrupted?
