Cut off from the outside. Different dimensions. Just thinking of that made his head ache as he stood there by the small pond in the southern end of Central Park, sending a rock skipping across its surface. He watched as it skipped twice and then sunk. Without hesitation, he bent down and picked up another, sending it out across the water, watching the ripple effects that it caused every time it bounced. So whatever had happened here had done something similar, causing that ripple effect, and bringing in people from all over. Harry shrugged off his leather jacket, draping it on a nearby rock, and rolled up the sleeves of his dark gray shirt before picking up another rock and sending it after the others.
There was a lot to think about and a lot to consider. So he wasn't the CEO of Oscorp in this place but that didn't mean he still didn't have access to Oscorp resources and he'd most definitely be using them to his advantage. His entire life had been turned upside down and while he might have once longed for his father to acknowledge him or give him any kind of love, he knew that time was long since passed. He might have had the family money as he went through boarding school and then his first two years at Empire State, but that's all he had. If it hadn't been his father's constant persistence and the knowledge that he was at death's door, Harry wouldn't have even come back to NYC, but here he was. The fact that a version of his father was here complicated things to be sure, but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle.
A lot of people seemed to underestimate him because he was so young. Twenty years old and the head of a multi-billion dollar corporation? Not something you heard about every day. But he had set things in motion the moment he had stepped foot in that board room, making sure each and every one of those men and women knew exactly who they were working for. If they had issues with it, he had no problem firing them and replacing them with people who would actually get the job done. He was curious about the Oscorp here, if it was any different than the one he knew. As he sent another stone skipping across the pond, he wondered if anyone he knew was here, whether they were from his world or somewhere else. Things could definitely get complicated but he'd weather them, just like he had all the other obstacles in his life, and he'd come out better for it.

A tired yawn escaped Peter's lips as he got up from a local park bench, his arms stretches out as he tried to wake every nerve. He couldn't have been out for too long, he thought as he retrieved his cellphone from his jean pocket. With quick tap of the menu button, the phone turned on from sleep mode to reveal the current time: 12:30 PM.
Peter let out a tired sigh as he put the phone back in his pocket. After an incredibly long night patrolling the city, Peter had rushed back to his apartment to get some long deserved rest. Unfortunately, Max Modell had called Peter in to come down to Horizon Labs this morning in order to attend some special meeting. Peter couldn't remember for the life of him what this particular meeting was about, as he was dozing off midway through some key speaking points. It took the combined efforts of Sajani and Uatu to deliver well deserved pokes in the ribcage to keep him awake.
After the meeting had passed, Peter swung down towards Central Park, too tired to make the full trip back to his apartment. He'd figure he sit on a local bench for a minute or two before heading back home. A minute of course turned into two hours.
Peter sighed heavily as he walked through the peaceful park, hands thrusted into his leather jacket pocket. Sure, it was a relatively slow day, but that didn't mean his mind wasn't at ease. The whole Thanos thing was just the beginning of all his problems. Not only was he trapped in New York, but he was trapped with two of his most dangerous adversaries of all time: The Green Goblin and Carnage. In their last encounter, Peter was lucky to escape to with his life. He knew it was only a matter of time before one of them struck again. But, would he be strong enough to take them down again?
The loud splash of something hitting water broke Peter out of his thoughts, causing him to turn towards the direction of the sound. A young man was tossing rocks into a nearby pond, trying to make the small stones skip over the water. Peter couldn't help but to smile at the sight. In a time where everything seemed lost and chaotic, this was proof that people were still trying to make the best of a terrible situation.
And that's when the man turned to take off his jacket, and Peter got a good look at his face.
"Harry?!" Peter called out, walking towards the young man, several thoughts racing through his head. What the hell was Harry doing in New York? The last time he checked, Harry was off with his son in Washington. "Harry is that you?"

Harry was no hero nor did he claim to be. He also wasn’t necessarily a ‘good’ guy, but then he had his father (or lack there of) to blame for that. When you were forced to grow up on your own and figure out your own path, you didn’t always do down the right one. Harry had made plenty of mistakes over the years, but he had learned to overcome the obstacles and make do with what he had and deal with the consequences of his actions. There were other people his age, men and women alike, who had come into wealth and had practically had everything handed to them, but not Harry. No, he had forged his own way and while having money hadn’t necessarily hurt, it wasn’t something he had taken for granted. How could he when his absent father would hold it over his head as a threat, making it seem as if he would get cut off if he so much as stepped a toe out of line and didn’t do what he was supposed to?
Just thinking about that caused him to send another stone skipping somewhat angrily across the pond as he scowled. The kids at school had treated him differently when they had found out he was Norman Osborn’s son, but Harry had simply used that to his advantage, working deals, making sure all of his assignments were done on time (most of the time not by himself), partying…being popular had its benefits to be certain, and so long as he stayed in the upper echelon and those circles, he could accomplish almost anything. Of course, when it boiled down to it, Harry still had a leg up over all of them because he refused to be a pushover, and he knew what it was like when there were months that’d go by without any money given to him by those in charge of his father’s trust – those times when his father so graciously decided to ‘teach him a lesson’ on how to spend wisely.
A voice broke Harry from his thoughts and he paused just as he was about to fling another stone. Looking towards the source, his eyebrows arched. ”Peter? What brings you out here? Slacking off again?” he teased, a smile forming on his lips. It had been awkward to be certain when he had first seen his friend after over a decade…when Peter had surprised him by suddenly showing up at his New York City home. Harry had been pulled out of a meeting for that and at first hadn’t known exactly what to do. He had kept up the façade, the strong, icy exterior that he had donned as of late to keep people away from him, but being around Peter…it hadn’t lasted. Peter had managed to break through, like he always had when they were kids, and it had turned into a mini reunion. Harry had escaped the board room to come out to talk with Peter, to catch up, although it seemed like a lot had changed in the time he had been away. He considered Peter one of his best friends, one of the few people he could truly trust, though even with Peter he wouldn’t share what his father had told him…about what was happening. That he held down lock and key until he figured out what he could do to stop it.
