Convention time!

Okay so just because this was the most freaking epic weekend EVER, I had to write it up to share with you guys. I’m still freaking out, I can’t even – just – I swear it was a dream.



So Thurs was fun, we got to bum around NYC and went to see Les Mis on Broadway (which was AMAZING, so definitely recommend!) Friday at the con was pretty casual, ran around as the Winter Soldier with my friend as Cap (I’ll share photos later from our shoot!). We got some great helicarrier fight shots XD And then…..came Saturday, the big day with Sebastian and Anthony!



Sat morning I got in line pretty early for Sebastian’s first autograph session, fully decked out in Winter Soldier gear and I happened to be at the edge of the line where you could see the area behind their booths where they bring the talent in to sit at their tables. So when they brought Sebastian down through to go to his booth, he saw me and got SO freaking excited! He pointed at me and was like “YES!” and did a fist pump and everything, it was awesome. Then we went through the line and when I came up he was just like “omg this is amazing, did you make all of this?” and I gave him the drawing I did for him (a post/present Bucky Barnes) and he was amazing and was like “you drew this? Wow! Thank you!” and was just SUCH an amazing guy, and we talked for a bit and then he was like “we need a photo!” and had his handler take a photo on HIS PHONE of me and him together (I was dying). I got the chance to thank him for what he’s done as an actor, especially with Bucky (since that character means so much to me).



When I came back for the second autograph session (to get some autographs for friends), we had done a shoot earlier where I was in the mine launcher version of TWS and got some really epic street shots so I wanted to share with him. He was like “You’re back!” and seemed so happy to see me, and when I showed him the pic his eyes got all wide and he was just like “O.O omg’ and seemed really impressed, and then I went to get in line for his photo op later, and when I walked in, his entire face lit up, he grinned and was just like “Hey!” because at this point he knew who I was (not just WS but me personally) and we got a really fun photo of us doing a face off/arm wrestling shot (and he totally gave me the WS intense stare down look, I was like SLKJDF hah) before I got a hug and headed out.



The panel with him and Anthony Mackie was PRICELESS, they did such a great job and were so funny. Seb pretty much confirmed he’s picking up the shield XD so we shall see! Then I rushed back to my hotel room to put on the end credits Bucky to go to Seb’s last autograph session that day (and to get a few more autographs for friends), and I strategically worked it so I was the last person in line XD (with my friend as dork!Steve), and I could tell Sebastian was pretty tired from the long day but when he saw me, his entire face lit up and he started FREAKING out, like, almost jumping up and down in his chair motioning to me and just going “OMG OMG I know exactly what you’re doing just – omg!” more or less, and had his handler take another photo of us together on his phone (and I managed to get one on my phone too this time XD) and he confirmed my outfit was accurate and that time we got to talk a lot more and I pretty much told him that I had come all the way from Hawaii for him, it was the only reason I had decided to come to Philly, and by this point he knew my name, which was amazing. I was seriously floored that he had recognized/remembered me because after seeing me in full TWS gear, where most of my face was covered, the fact that he recognized me in end credits Bucky threw me!



THEN on Sunday, I did Quicksilver in the morning, met Evan Peters who was so excited to see me as Quicksilver he actually asked to take a photo on his phone! He was there with his parents which was super adorable. We had asked him beforehand about bringing the ducktape blanket to the photo op, which he got really excited about, and I LOVE how that photo turned out! Then I changed into pre-serum Steve and went to go to Sebastian’s photo op. As soon as I walked in, he immediately saw the trash can lid and saw the outfit and got so excited, more or less just being like “omg you even have the trash can lid, this is amazing!’ and then he looked up and met my eyes and was llike “OMG it’s you!! I can’t believe this – I love it!” and we got a photo of him putting me in a headlock XD and then apparently after I left (my friend was behind me so she was waiting to do her photo op) he turned to the guys there in the photo op room and was like “She’s amazing! She’s incredible!” I about DIED when my friend told me! And then I got in line for the duo op with him and Anthony, and once again you could tell they were both so tired after all the long lines for autographs and photo ops, but as soon as Sebastian saw me, his entire face lit up, he grinned and we got a really fun photo, I got a hug from the both, and then as I was leaving, he turned to me and put his hand on my shoulder and totally gave me the ‘to the end of the line’ Bucky eyes, no joke and then he reached down and took my hand and literally held my hand, his eyes locked on mine, as I walked away until he had to let go because he had to go back to his photo op and I had to leave. I was pretty much dead at this point from everything, I was so in shock lol. And then I went to his last autograph session to get a last minute autograph and when he saw me, he smiled and was just like “You were incredible, everything you did, it was amazing!” and I got to thank him once more time and shake his hand before leaving, and seriously, this man…he made my LIFE. I’m still processing it!!



The fact that he remembered me AND recognized me (even in different outfits) meant that clearly I had stood out to him, and I honestly don't even know exactly what it was I did, but he met thousands of people this weekend, and plenty of Winter Soldiers, so just the fact that he seemed to love it so much and was so excited to see me every time, and smile that genuine smile versus the one that stars sometimes get where they're like "okay I have to smile for my fans" it was amazing!!
