Of the many cities in the world, New York City seemed to be the one that Prince Namor of Atlantis visited more frequently then any other. So, it was not entirely a surprise when his head popped out of the murky depths of New York Harbor and he bobbed along like a cork, staring up at the great Lady Liberty who smiled down at him sweetly. The Sea King frowned. "Namor does not remember heading towards this city," his voice rumbled in thoughtful narration. "But this is not unusual. Namor's mind has been addled before. Quickly! I must remember what I have forgotten!"
Unfortunately, for our favorite mutant half-breed, it wasn't going to be as easy as that. He sunk back beneath the waves, dancing through the dappling sunlight with a grace that the land dwellers did not enjoy, and headed East from the feet of her lady Liberty. Namor moved fast. He moved faster then any other Atlantean could hope to go, but he stopped unexpectedly when he was met with a rock wall instead of the open ocean. The man's eyes widened in obvious confusion and he pushed back up to the surface to stare once more at the looming Lady Liberty. "This cannot be so!" the man said. "Namor went East of her lady Liberty. It seems something has contrived to keep the Avenging Son within it's clutches! I must escape and see to that my people are not in harm's way."
Fear for his people led the Sea King to scour the bay for an escape point. Each time he made for open ocean he was re-routed back towards the murky harbor waters. The pollution stung his gills and rage quivered just barely beneath the surface of his skin like the flickering shards of light that dappled the ocean floor. "Namor will find the reason for this forced captivity. The perpetrator will rue the day they thought they could keep the Sea-Mariner captive!" he declared shooting up towards the surface with a new objective. He would see what the surface dwelling humans had to say about this. Perhaps they too were caught in this web.
With water streaming off his back like a porpoise Namor took to the skies. He landed softly on a nearby pier, leaving a trail of seawater that slowly dwindled down into wet footprints as the Sea King meandered farther along the streets. He was met with the occasional odd stares. It was to be expected, after all, humans were supposed to gape in awe at his magnificence. The Avenging Son wasn't sure what he expected to find as he roamed the streets of New York City. Whatever it was, perhaps some magical explanation to explode out of nowhere and land on his lap, it didn't happen. He was left instead in confusion, and anger, as none of the humans seemed to be affected by whatever this force was that was keeping him stuck in New York's harbor.
If they were not affected by it, that meant they were causing it. That was the logic as far as Namor could come up with as rage boiled in his blood. The Atlantean took off, soaring straight up into the sky and arcing high above the skyscrapers of this human city. Sharp eyes sought a particular tower, one that would hold the answers he demanded, and within seconds the Sub-Mariner was bearing down on the Avenger's Tower.
The balcony doors opened with a great crash. Namor had never really been a door person. Actually, he was best at destroying them. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" he shouted amongst the rubble that had once been doors. The great king stalked forward, searching for an Avenger he recognized to rattle some answers out of. Anyone would do. "What have you humans done? Namor is unable to leave your fetid harbor! Is this some ploy to fell Atlantis while it's king is indisposed?"
His wrath was like a tsunami. It broke cold and unexpected over the Avengers he had once called teammates.

Awkward.
That would be the best way to describe this entire day so far. Awkward in that apparently she already 'had' access into this place making her lock picking/code hacking skills moot, not to mention took away her smug smile of cracking Stark's security because well she didn't crack Stark's security; the AI knew her upon arrival. As soon as JARVIS recognized her the doors opened and the customary greeting of the distended voice occurred. So yes a bit awkward that her infiltration attempt had resorted to an exercise in moot. Still it wasn't a total loss really, knowing that she had a basic all access pass into this place. She utilized resources within the building, repairing and retooling some of her gear and stocking up on the 'essentials'. She only took what she needed and left the rest, nothing that would hamper Stark or Banner in their quest for building the next and greatest or some experiment into the realm of science. Whatever put a ray of sunshine in their lives, she wasn't about to judge or destroy their universe by taking a hyper-spanner or whatever. She took what she needed and left the rest untouched or well seemingly untouched. She was a spy after all so couldn't help but peak and snoop around. She'd like to say it was occupational behaviour but she was by nature curious and nothing to do with her job even if snooping came with the territory. Natasha was pretty certain that even if she wasn't a spy she'd still have that curiosity.
So after a romp through the various rooms in the building to check things out she managed to settle herself into a computer terminal and muck around. Sure JARVIS apparently could help with things and verbally just state what she wanted looked up but Natasha was still the hands on kind of girl and it just felt weird to talk to a distended voice. Plus she'd rather not have it said out loud what it was she was searching for or looking up rather, not to mention she didn't think JARVIS would approve of her snooping into research data and 'classified' or encrypted things but there was nothing in the databases she found that would help her. She needed research and info on memory suppressants and enhancers, she needed research and anything on the cerebral cortex but it was a long shot. She saw some things on Extremis that looked hopeful so she started downloading all she could of Stark's files on Extremis. It was a start but this could be the key to help repair the broken soldier she met awhile back; James.
Ever since her run in with him, she was wrapped up in memories and guilt. Helping him remember who he was might just help not just him but her as well, in making things right. Extremis apparently was a serum that utilized nanotechnology interface the brain's 'repair center' and directs the body to rebuild itself from scratch as if it were all wound tissue to be replaced. There was a lot of theoretical rhetoric in the stuff she skimmed through but she downloaded copies none the less and figured she'd go over it more at her safe house in Hell's Kitchen.
So pocketing the little data stick, Natasha went to head out. In and out without having run into anyone was the ultimate in win in this otherwise rather embarrassing and awkward day. Natasha almost even smiled as her fingers brushed lightly against the pocket the data stick was kept; a slight bit of hope as well in an otherwise bleak situation. The fact that she still couldn't get out into her dimension and timeline bothered her because she didn't know if Steve and Sam were able to take down HYRDA and expose them or not, if they were ok or anything. But if she was stuck in this god forsaken city then she sure as hell was going to try to make things right here.
She was about to leave, but couldn't help but stop at a very familiar room. It was where the all converged to find a broken Loki when the Chitauri was stopped back in her home dimension. The place no longer looked like a war zone and it was fully renovated. In fact this was a lot like the Avengers Tower back home; uncannily so. Natasha was ripped out of memory's wake when the balcony doors opened with a great crash. Instinctively she flipped and tumbled out of the way of a potential threat and had her guns out at the ready and trained as soon as her feet made contact with the floor once more.
There was a very apt North American term to describe this rather awkward and surreal moment with Natasha, her guns pointed at the ready and a very angry looking half-naked man with pointed ears and little wings on his ankles. Yes there was definitely an American colloquialism for this...'Dafuq?!' "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" the man's booming voice resonated in the otherwise empty room as he shouted amongst the rubble that had once been doors. The man stalked forward, and Natasha stood her ground and kept her weapons up.
"What have you humans done? Namor is unable to leave your fetid harbor! Is this some ploy to fell Atlantis while it's king is indisposed?"
Natasha blinked. Did he just say Atlantis? And what the hell is a Namor? His pet? It didn't sound like a woman's name but the way he was railing you'd think it was someone important...yeah it just seemed awkward was going to be the theme for her day after all."I am sorry for your Namor, but none of us are able to leave this city, trust me I've tried. " Natasha replied with an even tone that hid her anxiety. One would think someone as diminutive as her facing off against someone who was seemingly much stronger would have elicited a cowering or perhaps simpering reply but she'd been used to being thrown into situations which the odds were stacked against her and she found in most cases showing fear was the worst thing possible so she schooled her body and voice so what came out was a cold detached confidence. Even if she wasn't sure her bullets would do a damn thing."So, if you want someone to blame for trapping us all here it's something called Thanos." she informed though she still kept her guns up and body at the ready in case she needed to spring into action. "Now you wanna pick that door up and put it back...nicely? Please."Even if it was just pieces she was gonna make him at least get whatever was left out of the way, if she could. Never actually hurt to ask...well actually sometimes it did. Time would tell though.
NOTES: Tasha was an Avenger in her world so hope it was ok to put her in this thread. Also anything in my post needs edits lemme know. And thank you for basic table code

As the debris from the destroyed doors settled it wasn't hard to surmise that Namor had been expecting more Avengers then a single woman that he didn't recognize. She might have been attractive were it not for her hair being the color of flames. The Avenging Son's cold gaze swept through the empty room before falling on the gun she was pointing at him. Namor's upper lip curled in disgust at the human weapon pointed in his direction, and stayed curled in contempt at her words. None of them were able to leave the city?
"Namor does not take the surface dweller's words for truth," the mutant replied with a dangerous edge to his voice. He stalked forward a few paces, his slanted eyebrows accentuating his glare. "I have walked among the humans. They do not seem troubled by this forced captivity. Namor will ask once more what have you done?"
Her attempts to dispel the obvious guilt of the surface dwellers was met with a sneer of discontent from the sea king. "This name is not unfamiliar to Namor," the man narrated thoughtfully, ignoring Black Widow's instructions to fix the door. Namor honestly didn't care much for doors, and there was a running debate whether he actually knew how to use them. He didn't even bother to look at the rubble she had pointed out. Instead his mind was working out a very important problem with her story: the why.
"But Namor sees no reason why the Titan would seek to trap Namor within the confines of this human city. Perhaps you surface dwellers are working with Thanos to keep the Sea King confined!" the mutant accused. "Perhaps you seek to plunder Atlantis while her king is confined to this place!" his what-ifs were obviously starting to go off the deep end. "Where are your Avengers!?" he demanded. "They will answer for what they have done to the Avenging Son!"
Ooc: You're fine. Thanks for joining <3 And glad the table tutorial helped.^^

Yup, see...awkward.
Awkward in that she was standing poised with gun in her hand which to any normal human being would make them halt their approach except this one wasn't human -more of a cross between a Cabana boy, Spock and Hermes- and was either impervious to bullets and hence the weapon was not a threat, or he didn't know what a gun was, at which point the weapon was still not a threat....See, awkward.
Natasha watched as he ranted about not believing her and questioned again what 'she' had done to trap his Namor here but like his dismissal of her request of picking up the door, Natasha ignored his request to answer again. She said it once there really wasn't a way she could say it again to make it any clearer other than sounding like a broken record and that wasn't about to happen she was trying to keep the awkward at a minimum and well that didn't seem like it was happening any time soon."But Namor sees no reason why the Titan would seek to trap Namor within the confines of this human city. Perhaps you surface dwellers are working with Thanos to keep the Sea King confined!" the man accused as he continued to glare at her, not that Natasha was fazed by it. Her cold calm exterior held continuing to watch as the man walked and pondered.
~So, Thanos was a Titan...oooo-k.~ Natasha thought storing away that tid bit of info though not holding much stock on it considering who was talking but still there could be something to the Titan thing. If Norse gods existed then certainly Titans were around somewhere. Not to mention she was starting to get the impression that the man before her was Namor himself and that he referred to himself in the third person. Strange and awkward; awkward to listen to but hey it was the theme of the day for her.
It did however put into light more of who she was dealing with. Trained to pick apart a person within the first 20 seconds of meeting them, Natasha had already ascertained the man's Illeism bordered on the narcissistic and was a means to give himself an air of grandeur and enhance a sort of lofty air about him. Idiosyncratic and conceited people were known to use illeism to puff themselves up or illustrate their egoism. And some that used illeism did so in a way to distance themselves from the personal; 'He' is trapped, not 'I' am trapped. That way the helplessness is not really lumped into his true reality, that he is trapped but rather 'Namor' was trapped. Heaven forbid it actually be him and he was helpless to do anything about it. It was in some ways rather tragic, the inability to face one's own reality but something told Natasha as well that this denial of reality wasn't because it would emotionally cripple him but that this one distanced himself so that he could remain infallible in his circumstances. 'He' wasn't the one trapped, it was 'Namor'. Really though, he was still trapped."If Thanos would have no reason to trap Namor within the confines of this city then why would he conspire with humans to do so?" Natasha questioned.
~Oh my God I can't believe I am going along with his illeism.~ Natasha thought to herself as she referred to him in the third party as well. "Perhaps you seek to plunder Atlantis while her king is confined to this place!" the man reasoned as he paced and 'reason' would be a very loose word to describe his thought processes as logic went right out the window or maybe he just left it outside somewhere along with his clothes and manners. It was a good thing Natasha had control of her emotions and her body to a point where she could elicit a look of cold detachment and yet internally she eye rolled or in this case internally facepalmed."If 'we' are all unable to leave this city, how exactly are 'we' to plunder a place we can't get to?" Natasha countered."Where are your Avengers!?" he demanded. "They will answer for what they have done to the Avenging Son!"Because clearly 'THAT' was the real reason he was trapped here. The Avengers did it! ...Something told Natasha that the game Clue or Cluedo would be something this man would not excel in. It would probably end with a toppled over game board, pieces and a destroyed table. "And what makes you think the Avengers had anything to do with everyone being stuck in the city?" [ Natasha tried to reason and she probably would regret having to answer this. "Exactly what would we gain by keeping everyone trapped; ourselves included?" Natasha had initially remained silent with Namor's question of where the Avengers were because technically while she was an Avenger, that was in her world, and this one...ok, this one had a Black Widow in the Avengers too since JARVIS in this building seemed to recognize her so she supposed she needed to fess up.
She knew she would probably regret this as no doubt the man would find her diminutive Human frame rather comical to be part of a super-powered ensemble of heroes that had either super or godly powers or super powered armor and Natasha, well she was just a 'Human'. Oh yeah this was gonna be awkward again."As for where the Avengers are, well you have an Avenger standing right in front of you; Sorta. If you don't squint your eyes so much from glaring you just might see me." ok so a bit of self-deprecating humour mixed with a poke at Vulcan Cabana-boy helped a bit in taking the edge off what she knew was going to be a regretful admission.
NOTES: Tasha's gonna totally regret admitting she's an Avenger, but her writer is totally enjoying the awkward encounter with these two...pure hilarity! XD <3 And yes, tutorial was quite helpful

The human's logic fell on mostly deaf ears. Namor had no reason to believe any surface dweller. They had plundered his oceans, polluted them, and done plenty of generally awful things that made it obvious to him that they were generally scum. Of course his hatred for humans had a tendency to pop up when it was least helpful.
When she said she was an Avenger there was a pause. Namor was silent for a moment, he regarded her with still narrowed eyes, obviously not heeding her attempt as humor. Then a rumbling noise came from deep within his chest. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The laughter stopped almost as abruptly as it started. "You are amusing, human," Namor dismissed her with a lopsided smile before his expression turned back to how serious the situation was. He needed to find the real Avengers and punch them…or something. "Where is your man of iron? Or the green one? Or your Captain America and Human Torch?" Namor asked her snidely, remembering his encounters will all of them, and his tenuous relationships at best.
He moved past her then. There were plenty of spaces in the tower. Namo had decided he would search this place for wherever the Avengers were cowering, and if he couldn't find them here, he would search all of New York City. He had been in this tower before, he had been many places before, but that didn't mean he remembered them all. The first door he opened was a closet.
A mop fell out, causing the Avenging Son to react violently, smashing back the foreign item so that it splintered before he closed the door with too much force. Another door bit the dust. They were going to have to get some seriously sturdy doors if Namor was going to keep wandering around the place.
The Sea King's next destination was more visible. The lab, with it's window walls, was easier for him to find. He didn't care if the woman he did not remember as an Avenger followed him or not. It wasn't as though she could stop him. "AVENGERS!" he bellowed once he got through the door, glaring around and looking for people.
He was a terrible house guest: noisy, and destructive.

Left to my own devices Many days fell away with nothing to show, And the walls kept tumbling down. In the city that we love, Grey clouds roll over the hills. Bringing darkness from above. How am I gonna be an optimist about this? Sir.
Sir! There is a disturbance that needs your attention!
At first it was a voice far away from Tony, it was almost ignorable. But now as J.A.R.V.I.S yelled at him to get up he could only swear and groan. Tony was still engulfed in his covers as he spoke, "why is it that every time I fall a sleep something needs to happen?" He was groaning as he got himself out of bed and into something that looked like clothing. To say he was unimpressed would be an understatement. Tony's hair was all out of whack, he lifted a hand up to try to tame it with no product in it.
J.A.R.V.I.S lead the way towards where the ruck-us was coming from, he was going to have a lot of words with who ever this was. Dressed in jeans and a t shirt he made his way down the hall ways of the tower. Then he heard the laughter, great and booming. The hairs on the back of his neck raised as he quickened his pace to the door way in which the noise had been coming from.
"Where is your man of iron? Or the green one? Or your Captain America and Human Torch?"
Tony pressed his back against the wall outside of the room, man of iron. That must be him, but why did the man sound so distraught to find them. Also who was he talking to and why? Was he out to kill? Lorna, the feeling was odd as if over took him. It was one of worry that she might be the one in there with who ever it was. That she could be in trouble. The older man felt himself looking up and down the hall way that he was in, but he was alone save for the people on the other side of the wall.
Tony could hear who ever it was, he heard there steps as he walked towards the door way. Tony swallowed hard and moved away from the wall he had been leaning on just moments before the man walked through the door and yelled, "Avengers!" Tony just looked at the odd man and tilted his head slightly, his face showed a passive emotion. "Right here big guy, no need to yell." Tony looked past him and saw the red head as well as the broken door. "Oh your here." He directed the words at Natasha, then he looked back to the man he didnt know. "Like I was saying no need to yell, break my stuff or get bent out of shape. Oh and by the way no matter how many times you yell Avenger, you wont be drafted." ▌Tag : Namor, Nat▌Outfit : Here▌Date: ?▌Notes: Jumping in hope thats cool~ TEMPLATE BY ELIZA @ SHADOWPLAY

The waiting in silence for his response at her revelation was awkward as she had expected him to laugh out right at the notion but instead Natasha was stuck in that awkward moment of silence as the man no doubt was processing her revelation and she could see upon his features the absurdity of her words as it crept in to understanding. So now wait for it...~Three.~ Natasha counted internally
He regarded her with still narrowed eyes, obviously not heeding her attempt as humor.
~Two.~
A rumbling noise came from deep within his chest.
~One.~"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAnd there it was. The laughter didn't surprise her as it went along that whole awkward theme, plus she was used to it with her being smaller and female. Most had a propensity for underestimating her which was fine by Natasha; it worked better in her favor to be overlooked and not considered. The man's laughter stopped almost as abruptly as it started though. "You are amusing, human," Namor commented dismissively with a lopsided smile."Ditto." Natasha remarked simply with a smirk but lowered her guns. She knew the backhanded comment would fall on def ears but didn't care. His expression turned back to seriousness though as he started to demand again "Where is your man of iron? Or the green one? Or your Captain America and Human Torch?" Namor asked her snidely."Around." Natasha shrugged in a non-committal way. It wasn't like she kept tabs or really knew anyways. Last she heard from an archer named Kate there was only Stark and Rogers here and Natasha knew Clint was an Avenger but the man didn't ask for him and like hell she'd volunteer the location of her partner...fat chance. Technically she wouldn't give any of them up but Clint most of all. Unless Clint wanted to be found.Namor moved past her then and towards the first door which Natasha knew he would find nothing there. "I wouldn't bother with that door. It's just the--"A mop fell out, causing Namor to react violently, smashing back the foreign item so that it splintered before he closed the door with too much force. "--broom closet..." Natasha sighed audibly as another door bit the dust. Stark was going to have to get some seriously sturdy doors or fast acting sliding ones if this guy decided to stay in this place because Natasha wasn't so sure Namor even knew how to use a door.Spotting where Namor was heading Natasha called out to the AI of the building. "JARVIS, if Stark is around you may wanna let him know someone's headed to his lab."Natasha considered vaulting over the man and hitting him with one of her Widow's Kiss pellets; An aerosol instant knock-out gas dispersed via an explosive pellet that shot out of her Widow's gauntlets; one breath and a man was knocked out cold but before she could act the man plowed through another door screaming."AVENGERS!" he bellowed once he got through the door, glaring around and looking for people.
Natasha followed after Namor and was preparing to subdue the man, a plan of action already in mind when Stark appeared."Right here big guy, no need to yell." Tony looked past Namor to briefly catch a glance at Natasha who stood over the broken door area and leaned against the gaping hole where it once was. "Oh your here." Stark had said to Natasha.Again...awkward. "Yeah, don't worry I won't be staying. " came her simple reply. She knew Stark didn't trust her as far as he could throw her (without his armor) or at least the Stark in her world didn't trust her and well she figured same would hold for this one judging from his reaction of her being here, it was pretty much on par with Stark from her world.
And with Stark found Natasha figured there'd be no longer any need for Namor to be busting doors and the reunion can begin. She'd stick around briefly to make sure things settled in and then take her leave once it did. This wasn't her place and 'hosting' people was not her thing. Natasha's lips did curl ever so slightly at Stark's remark to Namor. She had forgotten how funny the man could be. Regardless she simply watched silently the whole thing play out from a distance. NOTES: It's totally cool, the more peeps the merrier I say.

Finally! It was an Avenger he recognized. The Sea King had run into Iron Man many times before and had just as often considered him an ally as an enemy. What the man said, however, got him a scowl of derision from the mutant Atlantean. "Namor has no intention of rejoining the Avengers," Namor informed Ironman flatly. "I wish to know for what purpose I am held captive within the harbor waters!"
The man moved forwards towards Ironman with a severe expression on his face. "This girl claims she is an Avenger, and that Thanos is the reason Namor is trapped. Do you validate her claims, Stark?" he gestured towards the human with the flaming hair as though Tony wouldn't be able to figure out which human he was talking about without the gesture. Namor did nothing mildly, however, and so it was more of a sweeping gesture of kingly accusation that drew attention back towards the poor awkward Black Widow.
"Namor demands this situation be rectified immediately so that he may return to his sovereign nation. If the Avenging Son finds that you are, indeed, behind this atrocity then the justice shall be swift and merciless," this was said in the manner of a man who was used to people following his orders, and a king who was used to getting things his way. The warning of his justice was serious. The man's posture stiffening as he said it. "Namor has swam your fetid harbor, and each time he makes for open ocean he is thwarted by some unseen force. You cannot keep the Sub-Mariner in your polluted waters! I must return to my people!" the man insisted.
It was impossible for Namor to fully explain the gravity of the situation. He didn't know why exactly, but he knew he needed to go back to Atlantis. How he had ended up in the New York harbor was still a mystery, though apparently Titans were somehow involved, but the last thing he remembered clearly was the revolt his son had caused. His son was dead, that was not the problem, but the last extended leave of absence the Sea King had taken from his royal duties had left Atlantis in dire straits.
Of course, it hadn't yet dawned on Namor that nobody had recognized him yet.

Left to my own devices Many days fell away with nothing to show, And the walls kept tumbling down. In the city that we love, Grey clouds roll over the hills. Bringing darkness from above. How am I gonna be an optimist about this? After everything that had happened between him, Pepper and Natasha he wasn't overly found of her. Well, he was found of her, but in that damn your hot kind of way. But as he stood there looking at her again he could help but remember the time his arch reactor had been killing him and she had stabbed him in the neck. She was also the person who had lied to him and Pepper. He still wasnt sure if he could truct her, even after he had worked with her in New York.
"Yeah, don't worry I won't be staying."
Tony looked to the red head, unimpressed he had been called down here in the first place. But even if he didnt really know if he trusted her, or if he wanted her around he did know he was alone with this Namor if she left. She could kick ass and take names, it might be in his best interest to have her stick around until he could figure out what he wanted. His eyes shifted from her to the stranger who seemed to know him quite well.
"I wish to know for what purpose I am held captive within the harbor waters!"
Tony was looking to the red head, he was sure she would have explained it by now. What was going on, how they where all trapped here until further notice. But he didnt seem to understand that or, he just didnt want to believe that it was true. Who would? He himself was having enough trouble understanding it and getting over the fact he had no control over it at all. The none of them could do anything, it was the feeling of helplessness.
"This girl claims she is an Avenger, and that Thanos is the reason Namor is trapped. Do you validate her claims, Stark?"
Thanos.
Thanos is the reason.
Tonys brain was trying to play catch up, he had been here for a while. This was the first he had heard about this, he didnt even know that there was a lead let alone a person to blame. Tony was looking to Natasha now, a little bit shocked and a little bit more confused. He needed to know more, to find out what she knew. Tony seemed to snap out of it, looking back to the man who had broken his door and yelled for him to come.
"Namor, if that is your name. She's right, theres no way out or around. We are all stuck here." He spoke calmly to the other man, he did not comment on the Thanos person, because he really didnt know if that was right or even real. It was the first he was hearing about it, and he hoped not the last.
"Let me break it down for you Namor. I cant help you, I dont know where this Thonas is, or if he even is here. So calm down and go eat some sea food. Since I mean you seem to like the water so much." He muttered the last bit as he took a more relaxed stance and crossed his arms over his chest and shrugged, his shoulders lifting up and down. "Me you and little miss red head are all trapped here for as long as it takes to figure this all out. Plus if you havent noticed by now, I dont know you. I am from a different dimension, where there is no fish people and we have way cooler red heads." ▌Tag : Namor, Nat▌Outfit : Here▌Date: ?▌Notes: Jumping in hope thats cool~ TEMPLATE BY ELIZA @ SHADOWPLAY

"Namor has no intention of rejoining the Avengers," Namor informed Stark flatly. "I wish to know for what purpose I am held captive within the harbor waters!"~Rejoining?~ Natasha thought. It was a good thing Natasha had mastered the poker face really well because if not her absolute surprise at the revelation that this man was actually an Avenger would have shown with jaw dropping clarity. Then again looking at the line up of Avengers from where she came from they weren't exactly prime superhero material. They were all grossly flawed in ways that would not normally put them in the category of 'Heroes', save maybe Rogers. Steve was the epitome of heroism in Natasha's eyes; the selfless man. The one you could rely on no matter what and who would not be afraid to lay down on the wire; the one to do the sacrifice play. Stark would just 'cut the wire' as he so aptly had put it and Natasha, well she'd negotiate another way. How a man like Rogers could go through what he went through and still turn out as ideal and good as he did amazed Natasha. Her thoughts though were interrupted by the movements of Namor as he stalked forward towards Stark with a severe expression on his face making Natasha shift her weight just a little as she prepared herself to act; just in case things went south. She might have her differences with Stark but she wasn't exactly about to just stand and watch him take a hit. She did kinda owe him for New York considering they would have been nuked had he not taken the missile into space and regardless of whether this Tony was the one from her world or not, she at least owed the one from her world she knew he'd put it on her if she didn't attempt to at least help his alternate self; if he was the alternate Stark and not the one she knew. Thankfully though Namor didn't act with violence and was just being a 'Namor'. "This girl claims she is an Avenger, and that Thanos is the reason Namor is trapped. Do you validate her claims, Stark?" he gestured towards Natasha as if Tony wouldn't be able to figure out he was talking about her, Namor sweeping his arm in a wide gesture of kingly accusation at Natasha's words earlier. It was true enough, she tried to tell him but wouldn't listen or didn't want to take her word for it. It was no surprise though, most never believed what she said even if she was telling the truth, well most except Clint because of anyone he was the one she lied to the least. In fact she never lied to him at all, omitted facts sure but out right lied, no. There was a deeply ground respect for the archer that no one would understand and Natasha would never care to explain. So if the self-proclaimed king of the ocean didn't believe her, so be it. She wasn't about to go out of her way proving anything.Natasha's eyes glanced over at Tony gauging his reaction and if she didn't know any better she'd think he didn't know about Thanos either as his body's reaction to the mention of the name and being responsible for being trapped seemed to prove. Natasha had gotten the information from a mutant named Lorna who had helped take a bullet out of her shoulder when she first arrived, since then Natasha had been actively looking and trying to collaborate the story finding a few others that seemed to believe this Thanos was behind it along with something called the infinity gauntlet but hells it all sounded like a Fantasy novel to her.Tony was looking to Natasha now her blue green eyes meeting his as she noted a little shock and confusion in them. She nodded as if to confirm it was what the raving ocean king was saying, but she could tell in his eyes as well he needed to know more but Natasha remained silent and merely nodded her confirmation that she'd said what Namor claimed she said. Besides saying anything now would be pointless, it wouldn't be like any of them would believe her anyways. Tony seemed to snap out of whatever thoughts he was having though and looked back to Namor. "Namor, if that is your name. She's right, theres no way out or around. We are all stuck here." He spoke calmly to the other man, though Natasha noted how he didn't mention anything about Thanos confirming to her that Tony probably wasn't aware of this bit of information which was why he omitted it from his statement. Tony wasn't the kind of guy to talk about things he didn't know; smart man. Then Namore started making his demands of returning him to his home immediately and then proceeded to roll out the threats of justice should they not send him home expediently. It was definitely looking like Namor was the kind used to getting things his way. The warning of his justice was serious though, as Natasha noticed the man's posture stiffen of which she took a silent and subtle step further into the lab for better strategic positioning."Namor has swam your fetid harbor, and each time he makes for open ocean he is thwarted by some unseen force. You cannot keep the Sub-Mariner in your polluted waters! I must return to my people!" the man insisted as if the rest of them didn't have an urgency to head home. Hells in her world it was discovered that HYDRA had infiltrated and had compromised even the upper echelons of SHIELD and about to unleash a weapon that would kill millions of innocents in one go. Fury was even dead but the idea that this man could even attempt to understand that it wasn't just him that needed to get home desperately would be like asking a mountain to move; it wouldn't and she was pretty sure he wouldn't care considering he also seemed to have a vehement dislike for humans or maybe it was just human women since he seemed ok with Stark other than being a demanding and overbearing. Natasha looked over at Tony when he started to speak."Let me break it down for you Namor. I cant help you, I dont know where this Thonas is, or if he even is here. So calm down and go eat some sea food. Since I mean you seem to like the water so much." Tony replied muttering the last bit as he took a more relaxed stance and crossed his arms over his chest and shrugged. "Me you and little miss red head are all trapped here for as long as it takes to figure this all out. Plus if you havent noticed by now, I dont know you. I am from a different dimension, where there is no fish people and we have way cooler red heads." The comment elicited nothing. Natasha remained her usual unreadable self and made no attempt at the bait; that was for amateurs. She simply stood poised and enigmatically wordless in a seemingly neutral repose as she watched everything unfold.

Tony's arrival might have pacified Namor for a short period of time, but the things the man said only caused the Sea King's temper to flare. Why was his old foe treating him as though he were a newly made wave cresting the sea shore? They had fought many times, sometimes against, and sometimes together. Namor did not think such a thing so quickly forgotten.
And then the Ironman said he couldn't help Namor. Even though Tony didn't seem to remember him, the monarch of the realm eternal still had a healthy respect for Ironman. This was probably why instead of smashing him like a bug missing it's exoskeleton, Namor merely reached out to grasp Tony by the collar of his shirt as he loomed over the more casual man with kingly graundeur.
"Listen closely, false Stark," the Sea King demanded. It was obvious he didn't totally understand, or believe the claims of people from alternate realms. "For I shall only remind you once. I am Prince Namor, monarch of the Realm Eternal, and a king to the people of Atlantis." the man narrowed his eyes. "Dare not mock Namor again."
Namor let Tony alone then, his attention turning to the girl with the flaming hair who apparently knew more then this pretender to the Iron Man name. Tony was completely dismissed as the Sea King's focus once again rested on Black Widow. "Who must Namor speak with in order to understand the full gravity of our situation?" he asked her. "Namor is willing to assist your Avengers in this endeavor to ensure a speedy return to our homes," it was a generous offer considering Namor was a highly skilled engineer among his people. Not that either of them knew that.

Left to my own devices Many days fell away with nothing to show, And the walls kept tumbling down. In the city that we love, Grey clouds roll over the hills. Bringing darkness from above. How am I gonna be an optimist about this? Tony looked to the red head, he was just confused as to why this man was here. He wasn't sure why everyone came to his place first, there had to be something better for these people to do with there spare time. But yet here he was hung over and dealing with not one but two people he wasnt all too impressed to see. When the fish man called him a false, Tony looked to Natasha, his hand going to his chest as if he was offended by his words.
"Dare not mock Namor again."
Tony didn't care who he was, or what kind he was. All he knew was that this man was now trapped here just like the rest of them. "Oh I would never mock you." He said to the man who seemed to be so worked up over the situation. He wanted to talk to someone else, someone above her and Tony. He was shit out of luck, Tony was about to tell him just that when the man opened his mouth again speaking to Natasha.
"Namor is willing to assist your Avengers in this endeavor to ensure a speedy return to our homes,"
Tony gave a sigh and scratched his side burns. "See, I told you he wanted to join. Like I said big guy we aren't doing try outs today. Maybe try back next week." Maybe this was the mocking he had spoke of, but he couldnt help it the other had just set himself up for it. "We are all trapped here, if we could have fixed it and gone home dont you think we would have done that by now?" ▌Tag : Namor, Nat▌Outfit : Here▌Date: ?▌Notes: Jumping in hope thats cool~ TEMPLATE BY ELIZA @ SHADOWPLAY

While at first it seemed Tony's arrival might have pacified Namor it was only for a short period of time as the self-proclaimed Sea King's temper to flared and before Natasha could move, Namor had reached out and grasped Tony by the collar of his shirt and loomed over the man with kingly grandeur as he warned the other man.
"Listen closely, false Stark," the Sea King demanded and while Namor made his demands Natasha moved slowly further into the room towards the table nearest her. Looking about as the man continued to warn Stark, Natasha found some chemicals on the lab counter that could be useful in a pinch. If things escalated to more than chest beating she'd have to intervene but it seemed Namor was simply interested in being treated like the king he thought he was or maybe is. Regardless Natasha had a game plan if Namor decided to become an actual threat to Stark. Natasha and Tony of her world may have had their differences but she wasn't about to have someone else beat down on the man.
"For I shall only remind you once. I am Prince Namor, monarch of the Realm Eternal, and aking to the people of Atlantis." the man narrowed his eyes. "Dare not mock Namor again."
Namor then set Tony down then, causing Natasha to relax her stance. Namor's attention then turned to Natasha."Who must Namor speak with in order to understand the full gravity of our situation?" he asked her.
"The full gravity of the situation is that we are all trapped within this city; humans, mutants, metahumans alike. All of us are stuck within a barrier of unknown making. Many have tried breaking out but the barrier cannot be broken. Even I have tried with explosives and the likes; it doesn't even dent it. I encountered a version of Dr. Doom that was using his abilities to no effect as well." Natasha replied evenly. "Namor is willing to assist your Avengers in this endeavor to ensure a speedy return to our homes,"Natasha's eyes turned to movement on Tony's end as the man gave a sigh and scratched his side burns.
"See, I told you he wanted to join..."
There was the slightest hint of a smirk that would be considered the closest thing to a smile anyone found on Natasha's lips at Tony's quip. She wasn't sure if he was the Tony she knew or not but he sure had the same amusing caustic humor. "You did." Natasha nodded acknowledging the man's words with the slightest smirk. Then Tony turned to Namor again.
"... Like I said big guy we aren't doing try outs today. Maybe try back next week." Again with the quips and really it was a good thing Natasha had control of her emotions otherwise she would have chuckled. Sadly wit like that although appreciated never showed its amusement on Natasha's face. Instead she simply watched everyone with that same detached expression.
"We are all trapped here, if we could have fixed it and gone home don't you think we would have done that by now?" Tony had said.
"Stark's right." Natasha nodded at Tony's words. it was quite true. "If there was a way out, this conversation would not be taking place. We would all be back in our respective home worlds."
Turning back momentarily to Namor, Natasha offered.
"From what I have been able to find out, it is something or someone called Thanos that is responsible and used an item called the Infinity gauntlet to do it." Moving her gaze then to strafe between Namor and Tony, Natasha said."Now if either of you know anything about any of these things then it would be a start in figuring out how to get out of here because I for one need to get back before my world falls under HYDRA control."

Namor exhaled slowly. The Avengers had the tendency to bicker so much that nothing ever got done. They had the ability to be a great force, but it was lost within their petty interpersonal struggles. The Sea King was quickly realizing that this was the case in this problem as well. He gave Black Widow a severe frown, but the expression on his face reeked more of disappointment then dislike for her words.
Then Ironman decided he needed to weigh his opinion. The large man turned swifter then a man his size should have been able to move. His hand was balled into a fist, his knuckles turning white at the pressure, but he refrained himself from crushing Tony Stark like a bug. His muscles strained with the effort of his self control. Namor didn't want to kill anyone, but sometimes it just couldn't be helped. "Respect, Stark," the Sea King told him snidely. "The only reason Namor does not crush you for your impudence is respect to the Tony Stark he once knew." though, Namor was currently debating whether or not it was worth it. "Don your exoskeleton, and Namor will gladly remind you of the might of the avenging son!"
His gaze then turned towards Black Widow. Surely she was not so new to the Avengers that she did not see their very faults. True, the Avengers could relieve this mess. Whether they would be able to work together enough to do so was a complete other matter entirely. "Pah!" the Sea King spat derisively. "You do not know your own team, female. It is a surprise the Avengers manage anything so quick they are to fight amongst themselves." the man's voice was thick with contempt. Not that Namor himself had been exempt from this trait when he had been a member of the Avengers. It was hardly his fault that Hercules was such a smarmy-
"For what purpose is the Titan Thanos keeping us trapped within the surface-crawler city?" the man asked. "Namor can not begin to contemplate a motive for such an action. Thanos is a bearer of death and destruction. It is more like that we are to battle one another within the confines of this city until one victor remains for his amusement," the muscles of the Sea King's shoulders tightened as he contemplated it, not at all enjoying the idea of a gigantic death match. Though, it was nothing he had not been forced to endure before. Of course, this was the largest scale, and he could see no simple way out.
"Call your Avengers, the Defenders, the X-Men, all the heroes trapped within this city." the man decreed like the king he was. "Idle talk will not free us, or save this city. We must act. We must bring what scattered knowledge we have to a focal point."
