Loki rebuked Kamala for her more action-oriented approach to vigilatism. "Yeah, I guess I think more with my fists when heroing around." Which was kinda the opposite of how she behaved at school. But then, you didn't get people shooting at each other in class. Not normally, anyway. "I don't have your defensive abilities though." Assuming the boy had the resistance of an Asgardian. "So my best defense is an offense." That was a good rationalization, right? The girl then fell silent as Loki explained the Asgardian reward system and how he preferred knowledge over other things. Kamala nodded in assent.
"What kind of Midgardian clothes would Thor shop for?" Kamala wasn't sure the Asgardian could go for a change in look. He was pretty popular in armor. Plus it had to be effective in battle. Maybe the new Ms Marvel ought to try it out. Could she actually shapeshift into that? Come to think of it, her clothes shifted with the rest of her body. But the girl didn't seem to have an awful lot of control over that. She just shifted into what she could visualize, people she knew really well. Mom, Dad, Ms Marvel.
A thought crept up in her mind: could she study Loki and take his appearance? He was right in front of her, and presumably staying for the night. Should she ask for permission? Kamala made a mental note of that before the topic of Ms Marvel distracted her again. "If you are looking for a mask, I know a guy on deviantart who's really good with those." She beamed in delight at the thought. "Flying Lasagna. He redesigns superhero's costumes in his free time." Was some sort of graphic designer in real life, from what Kamala could stalk on his profile.
The Ms Marvel question actually caught Kamala by surprise. Not that she didn't have a good answer to the question. Hours of internet arguments had honed her talking points to perfection. Despite some flaws, or maybe because of them, Ms Marvel was a beacon of hope for girls like her. Something to aspire for. Kamala's mind started drifting into feminist thoughts and how certain things needed to change, and Ms Marvel both embodied those changes but also gave grounds to old pre-conceptions. It was a difficult topic, and not one she didn't feel like explaining it to kid Loki. "She's cool. Strong, assertive and a woman." Kamala felt like a cop-out. That didn't make anything come across.

The boy listened to the what K had to say about her strength over her defense and the boy shook his head. "What are they teaching you young people these days?" He asked with a grin. "I'm lucky. I've got a reputation which I can use. Even if I don't want it. Now, you have a reputation you can pull with your whole disguise. Shop criminals don't expect to deal with someone like Miss Marvel. You've got to make them remember why you are the hero and they are not even mentioned in the local news papers," Loki suggested. It was rather like mentoring. He felt an odd feeling of pride. "Show off casually, act like you didn't mean it. Look bored." He added, in case she needed an extra push. It all seemed simple to him.
Chuckling at the mental idea that he had in his head of Thor in Midgardian gear, the boy paused. In all truth, his brother had been wearing Midgardian clothing. It was just more fun to imagine him in beach clothes, or anything defined. "In all truth, he can manage it. He wore jeans and a black shirt, I think. But I rather like the idea of him all geared up to go to the beach," The child said, grinning like the Cheshire Cat. His green eyes seemed to glow. "Or in a suit. Ready to go off to some business meeting." He added, making it open for K to put in her own ideas of what funny, moral Midgardian outfits that his brother may wear. It felt good to be a child, not considered an adult. Even if he was aware of the fact she still didn't trust him with her name. What was he going to do with her first name?
"Deviant Art, Flying Lasagna. Right, got it." The boy said, giving a nod. Right, he knew he wouldn't need a mask. He wouldn't get one. Especially while stuck here. But he could always pretend. The boy smiled to himself as he considered it. "I'd be brilliant at being a masked hero, wouldn't I?" He laughed to keep their spirits up. That was always better than a solemn life, he found. "What kind of mask do you think I should have?" He asked K, wondering if she had any thoughts. After all, she did seem to be somewhat of a fan of his. Well, a fan of him and his brother. Enough to write a fanfic.
Her reasoning for being a Ms Marvel fan was pretty much as good as his reason for being a fan of his brother, Loki thought and he gave a nod of approval. "Still, do you ever feel that you don't get the credit you deserve? After all, you let Ms Marvel take the credit for what you do, so to speak," He questioned. He was curious as to how it felt to be a hero in disguise. But K wasn't even that, she was a hero who was someone else.

"Right." Kamala nodded half-heatedly. She looked down to her wound. But that's the thing: I'm not the Ms Marvel they think I am. She wasn't nearly confident enough in her abilities or even borrowed reputation to make these kind of bluffs. "I think..." At this point, there wasn't any hesitation to share this kind of information with Loki. "I think I would probably freeze in that case." Adrenaline, and the need to save people, was all that got her running in those situations. Still, Kamala took note of Loki's point. "Bored. Ok." Maybe she could give it a shot next time. Wasn't there an acting class at school? It was probably worth investing some time in.
"Thor in shorts building sand castles?" Kamala chuckled at the idea. "Do the Avengers ever take vacations together?" They probably did in private. "Maybe you could propose the next trip." Her right index twirled in the air. "And, you know, take compromising photos for the fan community to glee over." Ms Marvel only meant that as a joke, though she would love to hear about what kind of holiday trip the Avengers were up to. Then the picture of Business!Thor floated in the air. "Was it an expensive suit?" If it was, maybe Stark paid for it. The avengers did live in his famed tower, after all. "And what kind of business would the mighty Thor be involved in? Utility companies?" Like in a game of monopoly, this didn't seem like a winning proposition.
"Masked, you could be anybody!" Anonymity was a point Kamala held dear. When asked her opinion on his mask however, she did not have a good answer. "I'm not sure... Depends what kind of persona you want to project." She tapped her chin. "Once you've figured that out, Flying Lasagna will be able to help you with his magic." Which reminded the fangirl that Loki knew real magic. "Speaking of which, can Midgardians learn Asgardian magic?" He had chanted some healing spell earlier today. That was useful to a future doctor. And maybe even more useful to a hero.
"I don't care about getting credit." Kamala waved her hand dismissively. "In my book, the less attention, the better." This wasn't strictly speaking true: the Muslim girl was quite proud of her achievements whenever they showed up in the news. But she was also scared stiff of being found out. "The original Ms Marvel can take all the credit."

Listening to the fact that K did not seem to be certain in her abilities to scare others off, the boy noted. He sighed and smiled to himself. "To be fair, it does seem to be my strength rather than anyone elses," He commented with a shrug. "My reputation does often seem to precede me," He said with a smile. Most people know his name. Which did come in handy on multiple occasions. Plus it kind of what was Loki relied on to get out of situations because everyone was too afraid of him. It worked.
A chuckle joined K's as she responded to his idea of Thor at the beach. The boy really felt like this was something that he should suggest to his brother if he found him. Green eyes looked down, nervous about the fact that he might actually never be able to see Thor ever again. "I don't know. I've never been part of the Avengers, not sure how much holiday time they get. Maybe it's like any other job. Or self emplyed. I suspect some heroes have got to jeep up a job to pay for stuff like food." While others such as Loki just gambled to get some more money. It was an easy way. And Loki wasn't sure but he suspected that even here, child labour would be frowned upon. "I am thinking that I should try and get in with the Avengers. Maybe I could then suggest a beach party. Even if we are stuck here,"
It seemed that K had misunderstood him about Thor in a suit and the boy gave a small shake of his head in response to her words. "I was imagining Thor in a suit. Haven't seen him in one, unless your counting a suit of armour and I'm not sure if his costume really counts as that," The boy said cheerfully and slightly cheekily. It was always easy to play with words and Loki had fond a way to work on the idea of a suit. "You know, I've always thought that if Thor took a job, he'd be a good mechanic," Loki commented. It was nice to be able to talk as if to a friend. To be somewhat accepted for who he was.
"You know, I may have to give up on the idea of a mask. I require a certain knowledge about me to deal with my foes." The boy said with a small sigh. And perhaps I will not be able to reach Flying Lasagna from where we are trapped." He commented, casually. "But I'll remember to look him up whenever I get the chance," The boy nodded, his tone never straying from being friendly.
Hearing K's somewhat selfless words about not caring about the credit, Loki looked down. He felt like he could use the credit. All Loki had, after all, was that he was the bad guy and that no one could trust him. It worked well for dealing with his foe but it didn't work well for having friends. "That's a rather nice way to go about life, you know." He said softly, looking towards K. "A noble way."

Kamala nodded when Loki described his ease at acting in control and tricking criminals. "Well, you aren't the god of mischief for nothing!" Indeed, the Asgardian's repuation preceeded him. Which was why he was so popular, despite being an infamous super-villain. How was she, Kamala from Jersey City, going to compete? "I'll give the acting thing a try." Hopefully, I won't get injured next time.
Talking about Avengers vacation was a refreshing notion. "I'd be up for a beach party." She bit her lip. "That is, if the Avengers would invite me to it." There were a lot of fan-theories on jobs the Avengers may or may not hold. Mostof them revolved around the ellusive figure of Tony Stark.
”Would Thor be the kind of guy who wears the wrong tie to his suit?” Kamala didn't know much about male dressing etiquette. But she knew the two Asgardian brothers and in her mind it was clear who had the better fashion sense. ”How often do you wear... Midgardian clothes?” Thor the mecanic. Was this because of the whole lightning theme, or was he actually skilled with Midgardian technology? ”What kind of job would you like to have, Loki?” Kamala grinned.
”But maybe you can build up your alter. Maybe hecould have a different aura to exude and influence people with.” Sure, such kind of reputation didn't come overnight. But Kamala also knew Loki was capable of pulling it off. ”And then you could make that grand revelation that Loki and that masked hero are actually one!” Kamala said excitedly. She fell silent however when Loki complimented her on her 'noble way'. She didn't feel particularly noble. It was exactly her 'commoness' that made her continue with the subterfuge.

The boy chuckled at what K had to say. She was true. He did live up to his reputation, even if it was something that he had been given before he was truly alive. Sometimes it was just easier to live up to it and Loki could not deny that he did enjoy his little games. Even if they weren't considered little by others. "I like to think that we all have a bit of mischief in us. After all, it does help make the day much more fun," He told her, looking relaxed as he spoke.
The idea of a beach party was very appealing. Loki doubted that he would ever get invited to such a thing but one could always dream. "Tell you what, if I ever get in to the Avengers and we do plan a beach trip, then I'll make sure that you are invited. I could come and deliver an invitation personally!" He said cheerfully, sounding pleased with this idea. It seemed to be a nice idea. Very fun. Loki had never been to a beach before. It would be an experience. "Have you ever been to a beach?" The boy asked curiously. He hadn't done much research into what beaches were like. Perhaps he should look at it.
"To be fair, I don't think he would do much work that involves a tie. Neither of us would, if I'm to be perfectly honest. I'd love to have a tie, though. I could be very important looking, don't you think?" The boy asked with a smile. He thought it would be very fetching. Green would be a nice colour. He could even have his symbol sown onto the tie as a small pattern. It would look great! Maybe he should get one. He didn't know how, though. At the next question, the child blinked, thinking about wearing Midgardian gear. "Not really tried it before. My tunic has always served me well but I might not have such an option here. I'd stand out while that is not the case in Asgard," The boy mused.
When asked what kind of job that he would like, Loki's eyes widened slightly. A job? It wasn't something that he had thought about before hand. "You know, you're more qualified to answer that question than I am. There's not really jobs in Asgard and I've not spent too much time in Asgard," He sighed, moving to lean against a wall, looking down. He wasn't sure what he could do. To be honest, the only job he wanted at this minute was to be a little brother. To be free to enjoy himself and have fun. "I guess I could make a good politician," He said, although his heart wasn't truly in it. "Or maybe a super spy, like James Bond!" He sounded much more enticed by this idea and his eyes glowed with a green fire, imagining how this would go.
A small, almost sad smile came across his face at K's suggestion of a new persona. It wasn't something that he could do. He had no power to stop someone. All he had was his words and those words were backed up by his history, what everyone knew aout him. "That's a nice idea. Maybe I can do it here. A new place to test it out," He said, pretending to be all for it, even though he had decided that it would be impossible for him to do.

When said by a boy like kid Loki, Mischief was far more acceptable and even cute. Even more so when he proposed to invite Ms Marvel to their fictitious Avengers beach party. "What a gentleman!" She nodded. "And we went to Jersey beach twice. I got sunburnt the first time." Which had led to annoying comments at school. "But the second time was a lot of fun, once I was prepared." With copious amounts of water and sunscreen. "Are you any good at building castles?" The engineering part was what attracted Kamala the most to the beach. Grilling in the sun, not so much.
"A tie would make you look British." The teen didn't know of many other kids who would wear a tie. And from her understanding, the British ones for forced to do it. "So you'd probably stand out regardless." Though maybe that was what Loki wanted. To stand out, albeit in a different way. Kamala couldn't really see the god of Mischief keep a low profile. "I could see you in politics." The girl nodded. "Or rise as a Hollywood star." She wasn't sure about this whole spy business.
Kamala was having a lot of fun with Loki. To speak to someone with powers, but as young as herself. The superheroine felt her lids grow heavy again. Must... not... fall asleep. And yet, against Loki's best advice, Kamala's head dropped onto her pillow. Within seconds, she was fast asleep.
