John Walker; The US Agent WIP

Like his 616 counterpart, john walker idolized his older brother, and wished to follow him into the marine corps,a dream which he made come true in 1977, when he turned 18 and enlisted. While serving, he met up with another marine,Frank Castle, and the two developed a friendship of sorts. John managed to survive the war uninjured, returned home to Custerville, ga, before learning of the powerbroker from another vet, named lamar wilkins.


thinking he could use this to somehow get rich and famous, the two went to new york, and met with a contact of the powerbrokers. After earning the man's trust, and paying $10,000 each, the men were given the treatments which would give them their superstrength, which they used to join the______, a pro wrestling league for meta-humans. it wasn't long, before they were discovered by someone who offered them a chance to become superheroes, that man was peter gyrich. Gyrich was a member of the commision on superhero ACTIVITIES (csa for short), and they believed it was time for a new captain america, someone whom they could control.


After COERCING steve rogers to give up the uniform and shield, they hired the taskmaster to train john in all of his fighting styles, to the point where no one could tell the DIFFERENCE between the two men. The scheme worked, until steve return several months later, after saving john from the flagsmasher. it was quickly discovered that the redskull had ORCHESTRATED his replacement, and after battling both john and the skull, he reclaimed his uniform and shield, becoming captain america once more. still, this wouldn't be the end for john, who would tAke steve's captain uniform and shield, after one of the COMMISSIONERS faked john's murder at the hands of the watchdogs. john took the name of the us agent, joining the westcoast avengers. although he butted heads with his new teammates, they eventually got through his rough exterior, and he began to consider them as friends. he stayed with the team until it's disbandment by the eastcoast branch.
