Even trickster's needed their days off and today was Loki's. And no matter ow much Ikol disagreed, he was going ahead with this. "You can't be serious. The zoo!" The bird chastened and Loki rolled his eyes as he snuck in over a fence.
"I need some time off. And I've never been to a zoo before. I want to learn about them. Besides, the mortals seem to have an obsession with animals. You only have to look at all the cat pictures on Tumblr," He said, leaning against the fence and checking his trusted Starkphone for some information. He had downloaded a map of the zoo earlier that day and he wanted to find out where they were going. Ikol landed on his shoulder and peered down at the map.
"I want to see the lions and tigers and bears!" He said cheerfully, making the map bigger as he followed the paths, tying to find out where everything was. Ikol tuned his head, looking at the map with a skeptical bird's eye. "You should be more cautious," He advised, hopping down to rest on his arm. "Hush, evil me," He said softly, doing up the black coat that he had stolen. It covered his tunic and kept him more unrecognisable as Loki. His white hood was over his head, hiding his crown as well. He knew how to be cautious, even if it was not as cautious as Ikol wanted him to be.
Finally, after looking through the whole of the map, he managed to find the lions and a way to get to them. And so he set off, with Ikol, the magpie in his head, following behind him. "This is reckless," Ikol cawed, following him. "I said be quiet, Ikol!" Loki insisted, walking forwards with intent. No one seemed to question him as he kept his head down. So far, so good and the trickster grinned. "Told you this would work,"
They reached the lion cage, he smiled, taking out his Starkphone and taking a picture of a lion that was staring at a young girl, looking completely fixated on the child before it. Maybe the lion was hungry and thought the girl looked like a meal. But there was a layer of glass between them so there was nothing to be bothered about. It just gave him a good chance to take a picture of the lion. He smiled. The picture was perfect. Now to see what other animals he could get good pictures of.

Personally, Norman never enjoyed the zoo. It was always filthy and disgusting, the smell of unwashed fur and feces seeming to emanate from every corner. But still, Norman walked into the gates of the local zoo (after the cashier complained about not being able to break a $100 bill - what a waste of oxygen), looking around at the open area that forked into numerous paths, signs accompanying them. It was surprising that the zoo was still open, given all the news that was breaking. But then again, during times of crisis, people liked familiar comforts. It somehow gave them the feeling that everything was going to go back to normal at some point. Norman knew that because that's how he approached his charisma towards them. By promising stability and promising to eradicate change, people were swayed so much easier than by trying to force them into something they weren't comfortable with. After all, that's how he became the leader of HAMMER back in the day - by promising to keep people protected, securing their worthless lives.
Norman walked over to the giraffe pen and watched them as they were fed by a staff member. A crowd was gathered, watching with some form of excitement. Norman didn't get the fascination - after all, he could see the use in keeping something around for the amusement of conquering it, but to waste all the resources on just keeping the animals living in a replicated habitat of the one they were taken from just felt...wasted. A few people noticed Norman, actively staying out of his way. A few others gave him a thumbs up, believing in his promises. Norman buttoned up his jacket - it was colder than he would have expected on a day where the sun was in full blossom. Norman watched a few birds in a cage fly around, and grew progressively more bored. There was less to learn here than he had originally thought.
Norman's attendance to the zoo was based on him researching the effects of imprisonment on animals, and trying to connect that to humans. After all, they were much like the lion he now gazed at - trapped in an space that, while open and comfortable, was ultimately a restriction of freedom. Norman wanted to dominate the people as they had dominated the lion. Even the child standing across from him was taking a picture, amused by the animal's stagnant new life. Something about that boy looked familiar, and Norman couldn't put his finger on it. dismissing the feeling, he quickly moved on, trying to find a reason to still be there. He eventually arrived outside the lizard exhibit, sitting down on a bench near the front entrance.
"Hey Osborn!" A shout came from Norman's left and he looked over just in time to see a middle aged man with a scowl on his face advancing towards Norman, a fist cocked back. Norman braced himself for the hit, almost welcoming it. The fist jammed into his leftside jaw and pushed his face to the side, the man's form clearly off and not delivering any real power behind the hit. Norman turned back to the look at the man, whose black slicked back hair was still wet with gel. "That's for Asgard!" The man said in triumph, as if he had already won. Norman scanned the area, finding no one there. Good. I would hate to damaged my still healing reputation, Norman thought to himself before standing up, towering a couple inches above the man. He buttoned his jacket before speaking, making the man wait for his rebuttal.
"You just made a grave error." Norman spoke in a calm voice, frowning. The man stared at Norman, clearly ready to fight. "But I'm not going to fight you - you're not worth my time. In fact, I doubt you're worth anyone's time. You're just another one of the greedy masses, taking whatever you want and thinking that's that. Expressing your views with something so petty as a child's punch. You're a disgusting plague upon this earth and this city, and you must be eradicated. But not by me - no, I won't do anything. You know why?" Norman asked, the man now sweating. Norman reached his hand back, and brought it forward in a powerful whip that slammed across the man's face, backhanding him. The powerful blow knocked the man to the ground as he held his face in pain. "I've got better things to do." Norman spoke superiorly, adjusting the sleeve on his jacket. The man took one look at Norman, his face scrunched in defeat, and ran off.
"Well, that's definitely the end of my zoo adventure." Norman muttered to himself, walking opposite from the man's trail, and running smack into a boy, hardly above the age of twelve. It was the photographer he saw earlier. Norman looked down and took a small step back. "Next time, watch where you're going, boy." He spoke with a scowl. He was not in the mood to deal with anymore interference, but the boy looked so familiar - why couldn't he place his finger on it?

Watching the lion and taking photos, Loki was enjoying himself - it was rare for him to get to spend some time alone and enjoy himself. Or he would have been enjoying the time he had if Ikol hadn't flown over in a feathery importance. "Norman Osborn stands not shy of a few feet from you!" Ikol warned and the trickster froze for a second, thinking fast. He had not been addressed so he was probably not noticed yet. He had no reason to speak to the man that had once been his ally (or rather his former self's), no plan that would need for him to speak to Osborn. It would be best to avoid any of the less savoury contacts, the boy thought.
"He's moved on," Ikol informed Loki and the trickster nodded, moving away from the lion to watch the retreating form. Was this the same Norman Osborn that his former self had known or a different one? It was useful to know what was going on. So he decided that despite wanting to avoid contact with the man, he would trail him to see what information he could gain. "You should consider talking to him," Ikol suggested as Loki remained behind a corner, giving the man time to move. "Shut up evil me and go see if he's moved on," The trickster ordered and Ikol flew ahead, returning in little time. "This way," The magpie said and on silent feet, Loki followed.
"You need to stop focusing on only working with heroes. We both want to get back and the more people we've got contact with, the easier it will be. The more ideas you can gather ans the better prepared you can be." The bird pressed and Loki waved his hand to try and chase Ikol away from him. "Your tongue is as black as your fathers, if not blacker. I would rather keep my reputation clean," Loki replied, poking his head around a corner to see Osborn and just in time to see the man approach and punch the villain in the face. He pulled back and looked at Ikol. "I think we should steer clear from this. He doesn't know I'm here and I intend to keep it that way," Loki told Ikol. "Then I shall find a way around this reptile home so you can move one." Ikol replied, disgruntled as he took to the air.
The trickster meanwhile listened to what was going on. It seemed that there was someone who remembered what Osborn (and to some extent, his former self) had done to Asgard. And Osborn didn't seem too shocked. Which implied that the three (four if one counted Ikol) came from the same background. Finally Ikol returned and informed him that he had found a way around the Lizard Exhibit and towards the exit. "About time. I was about to consult my map," The boy noted, following the bird that remained in the air, supposedly looking out for any danger. Ikol dived down and perched on a tree just ahead and Loki moved forwards, pausing to take in his surroundings and then he was bumped into.
Turning to look, he could have cursed his luck. Or rather Ikol. After all, Ikol was supposed to be looking out for Osborn. "He'll recognise you!" Ikol warned as Loki pulled his white hood further over his head as it had been jogged back at the contact. "You can't simply take the abuse or he'll know that you're on a different side and you can't afford enemies," Ikol added and Loki gave a quick glare at the bird. He would have words with him later. "I could say the same to you," He replied, doing his best to appear to simply be a sullen child. He wasn't going to play Ikol's game so easily but as much as he hated it, the bird did have a point. If he was recognised, he couldn't let the villains think any less of him.

Norman eyed the youth as the boy pulled a white hood over his head. He furrowed his brow at the movement, slightly annoyed at the rudeness it implied. He may not have been the most respectable man currently (something he was looking to fix), but a young boy should still respect his elders, whether in a trapped New York or elsewhere. The boy shot back at Norman in a rebellious voice, but obviously wasn't intentionally being rude. Norman was taken aback by the statement - noone ever talked back to him that way. The gall this child had. if it had been an adult, Norman would have shown them a lesson, like he had done to that man.
but this time, it made Norman smile, a small smirk spreading from his lips. The boy had spunk, and Norman had to respect that. It was kind of refreshing, actually. it reminded him of the defiance he grew to possess as a young boy - to not take crap from anyone."I guess you're right." Norman responded with a small laugh. He looked around the vicinity, still seeing no other passerbys. A couple walked in the distance, clearly not concerned with anything regarding Norman and the child. Odd - in times like these, it was unusual to see a disregard for child safety. People clinged to things they loved in times of crisis, holding them so close they almost suffocated them. Yet this boy was alone, wandering by his lonesome. His demeanor showed that he could handle it, but still - it struck Norman as out of place.
"Where are your parents?" Norman investigated. An idea started to manifest in his head - maybe he could return this child to his guardians, and make himself look even more heroic. It was a small gesture, sure - but every bit of support helped at this point. A brief chilled wind brushed across him, and he shoved his hands in his pockets. He locked down at the boy again, who was still hiding his face. Norman still thought he knew the boy, but he wasn't going to pry until he gathered more information. After all, doing something like that was bound to give him a dose of libel when people like J. Jonah Jameson heard about it, and the last thing he could afford to do was hurt his fragile reputation. "Do you want help finding them?" Norman offered to the boy, still noticing that no one was coming.

A second passed and then another. There was no response and the child held still, waiting for a response. There was no shouting, no recognition. Which was a good sign. Loki stood still for a good few seconds, waiting, expecting something like that to happen but instead the man gave a small laugh and the boy relaxed slightly at this, although his posture had been casual anyway. He turned and gave a little nod, forming a new plan in his head. Well, he could turn this to his advantage. If the man questioned him any further or let him go and then later recognised him, Loki could say it was all a test to see how well the man knew him and also to see whether he could fool others. A hopefully water tight excuse for his attempts to not get recognised. Turning back to look at the man, his eyes were fixed on his shoes.
"Good, so we call it even then," He said, still keeping his hood up and the stolen coat hiding the clothing that he wore which would no doubt give away not just his Asgardian nature but also likely his name. As would the circlet on his head. About to move away, the trickster found the man talking to him again and he turned to face Osborn, green eyes looking up at the man quickly and scanning his face before looking down. There was a plan behind the inquiry after his parents no doubt. After all, he was scheming already. And no doubt Ikol had his own agenda as well. But now he had to think of an answer quickly and one that would fit in and not cause suspicion yet give a slight clue to who he was as if he really was the evil, former self that Ikol was and testing this man. Not complicated at all.
"They never really have been too concerned about me, it's not the first time I've gone out without them noticing. I could probably be gone all day and night and they wouldn't blink an eye unless I got into trouble," He said with a shrug as if he wasn't too concerned about what his parents thought. To be fair, from what the teller had told him, Odin (his adopted father) would have willingly banished him to Earth if it wasn't the fact that Thor would oppose the All-Father. At the offer, he gave a smile, looking up briefly so the smile could be seen before his gaze rested on Ikol for a good few seconds. "I'll make my own way back, if it's all the same to you. No doubt my parents would notice if I had to be returned," He replied calmly. "Then I'd get into trouble, no doubt," Doing his best to sound like a Midgardian boy as he spoke.

Norman watched as the boy in front of him purposely tried to keep hiding his face. Was he afriad of the man, or was he actually hiding something? Coupled with the fact Norman though he knew the boy, his suspicions became more and more to the forefront. What was the kid hiding? Did he also recognize Norman, or know Norman would recognize him? But Norman brushed it off for now - he would have to wait for a proper opportunity to actually identify him, and couldn't let his rash decisions get the better of him. he frowned when the kid refused his generous offer. Originally, Norman didn't want anything to do with the boy, but now that he has developed a plan, he needed the boy to help him out. It was so important for him to get as much positive press as soon as he could. He wasn't going to let the boy say no, but he also couldn't force him to do anything, or risk harming his image. Man, it was hard to be a good guy. Norman wondered how the so called 'heroes' stayed so true to their idiotic ideals.
"Boy, I strongly suggest you let me help you. It's dangerous out here." Norman spoke calmly, keeping his wit's about him. "Have you seem me before? I'm Norman Osborn, leader of Oscorp. I'm here to help. Not just you, but everyone." Norman spoke, trying to educate the boy. "Sorry to hear about your parents - but a boy needs to be strong and able to stand on his own without the support of his mother and father. This world is rough, and it's up to you to remember that - before you learn the hard way." Norman paused, remembering his son Harry, who he wished would live up to the high bar he had set. Harry had repeatedly disappointed Norman, time after time, his refusal to become the American Son just another strike against him. Where did Norman go so wrong raising such a weak and helpless child, who dreamt of owning a coffee shop reathe than leveraging the Osborn name. What a failure.
Norman looked back down at the child. "Come now, let's find your family. It's getting cold out." Norman spoke to the child. He was determined to figure out who the boy was, and that wasnt going to happen until he could get an opening. Norman looked around the zoo, watching a few other people pass them by. Some went in to the nearby lizard area, pointing at Norman as they passed. He wanted to leave, and was having trouble keeping a patient attitude.

Still the man said nothing about who he was but loki refused to relax. It was only a matter of time until he guessed and it didn't seem that he was getting free any time soon unless he made a quick run for it - which was out of the question. There was no way he could afford to ruin his former self's reputation, even if he was a child and on the side of his brother now. Keep them guessing. That was how he worked and so far, he hadn't died - which suggested that it worked. "Stop hiding who you are, Loki," Ikol advised and Loki gave the bird a black look. Ikol was the one who had gotten him into this, even if the bird was trying to help. And perhaps had made a mistake and Ikol had not seen this man.
Listening to the words that Osborn had to say, he kept silent for a few seconds, considering how to respond. It wasn't simple to play this game but at least it only was two or three seconds pause - which would hopefully seem to be as if he were a normal child considering the situation. "As it is, my parents will be rather angry with me if I have to be returned to them. And I am not keen on getting into trouble. So long as I stay out of their hair, it's fine. Besides, I got here by myself. Nothing went wrong. I know how to take care of myself," He replied, voice calm and he returned his gaze to the man, doing his best to not appear to be hiding his face while trying to actually avoid being recognised. The best option was still to get away without the man realising who he was. Of course, he wasn't sure how much of a chance he was going to have to get away. It seemed that Osborn had gotten it into his head to 'return' him to his parents. So now he just had to see how long it would take for Osborn to notice that this was the infamous trickster reborn was a child.
The man insisted on finding his family and the boy's lips pressed together as he considered this and how he was going to manage this. He didn't have a home to go to and certainly no family as far as he was aware. They were all back home and about to die if he didn't do something about it. "But I still haven't seen everything! And I'm not cold. So I'm fine staying here," He said with a shrug, looking rather unconcerned with what was going on. But he could see that Osborn was attracting attention. People were looking and pointing. And Loki suspected that it wasn't the best of reasons as to why Osborn was getting such attention. This was the sort of thing that he needed to avoid getting. It was the reason why he had his large, black, stolen coat and white hood pulled over his head and the golden circlet. Disguise went a long way.

Norman was growing tired of this game. The child insisted on wasting his time, denying his generous offers repeatedly. Norman wondered why the child was so stubborn - was it really due to his family, or something else? The child was definitely hiding something, and Norman was growing impatient and weary at trying to convince the boy. "Norman...this child is hiding something - find out what it is!" The Goblin hissed in his head, caskaling maniacally. Norman had accepted the Goblin back into his life, no longer fighting its influence, and had to admit it was good to feel like he was in total control once more. But was the Goblin right this time? Should he make such a rash move? They certainly weren't getting anywhere staring at each other in determination, and he was sure all he had to do was flip that hood down...
Norman closed his eyes for a second, reopening them into the fresh sunlight, dispersing the thoughts that had just threatened to consume him. No, he couldn't do that - he was here to try and leverage the child for his own gain and public appearances, not to discover the mysteries the boy was hiding. That was a secondary objective, and his primary one was to take the kid to his parents, and appear a hero. But maybe he didn't actually need to take him to them at all. After all, he could still gain popularity by simply finding the parents on his own and telling them where the boy was. It achieved almost the same endgame, it just wouldn't be as picture-worthy as him towing the lost child to his parents, a joyous smile stretched on everyone's face, with the headline "LOST BOY RESCUED BY OSBORN" on the newspaper. The masses would clamor to read all about how Norman was a renewed man. Telling the parents instead was simply worthy of a half page article written by some newly-hired intern that would probably spell his last name 'Osbourne.' Ugh, the wreckage that noise-machine family had done to his name.
But Norman conceded that it was the best option at this point, his mind racing through the options quickly and efficiently. He was a busy man, and standing around arguing with a child was going to get him nowhere, not to mention make him look ridiculous. Best to find the parents and move on - maybe they could provide some insight on the deja vu he was feeling, as well. "I respect how adamant you are in your decision, even if it is a foolish one." Norman spoke to the boy as an equal, not as a child. "Then at least give me your name - I will track down your parents and at least let them know your whereabouts."

They didn't seem to be getting any closer to a solution. Loki remained unrecognised and hoping to get away and this man still insisted on trying to 'help him' and as such, was ending up being the opposite of that. How fair life was. Maybe he should do as Ikol said. So far the bird hadn't lead him astray and he had saved him from the Teller - a problem that he had admittedly created. He just was filled with the delight at the fact that he finally seemed to be getting support from the heroes rather than distrust. He didn't want to spoil that. But then again, he was the one who was best placed to get his hands dirty and work as a spy. It was just that the good guys would normally suspect him rather than the bad guys. Almost nervously, he pulled at his hood, keeping up the disguise of a boy who wasn't sure what to make of this and also helping to make sure he was still disguised. Still, he kept an eye on the man, ready to react if anything happened.
Watching the man with hidden caution, he weighed up the situation. Something he was constantly doing. How much could he afford to risk? If he was identified, what was there that he could reveal? Or should he stop this game before Osborn recognised him? He had to appear to still be his evil self if Osborn did finally clue in. And it was only a matter of time. The trickster pressed his lips together. This was his first time working with the disguise and this was rather a big test. Looking up at Osborn as he said that the decision was foolish, the trickster raised his eyebrows at this. Foolish. Was this man seriously trying to convince him to go along with his plan simply by stating that Loki's own idea was 'foolish'. A bit of an obvious trick. But at least he was speaking as an equal.
"You know, I think you might change your mind if you meet my parents. Father's rather fierce. Isn't a big fan of others. Been in plenty of wars. Seems to like them, I suspect," He said lightly, dropping more hints which could possibly be picked up on but hopefully not, until Loki revealed himself (if he would). Stretching, he made himself look more relaxed and got the excuse to look away for a few seconds. "Honestly, if you find them, then I will get in trouble still. And the phones aren't working, as far as I'm aware, nor is the internet. We're trapped in here. And I don't expect you'd be willing to riffle through a telephone book to find those with my surname and then visit every house under that name. So what do you plan to do to find my parents? And how would you plan to deal with my father?" He asked, starting to slip back into his usual self as he spoke. He was curious to find out what was Osborn intended to do and how.

Norman waited, watching the kid carefully. Obviously, he was uncomfortable about something, an internal struggle happening in the boy's mind. Norman could tell because he had seen that look on himself so many times before - except he wrestled with a Goblin. The boy finally stretched out and gave Norman an answer - one that the man didn't like. Norman scowled, displeased with the boy's defense of his parents. It was getting irritating - Norman was trying to perform one good deed (albeit towards his own ends), and this boy was constantly standing in his way, fabricating new reasons for why he didn't need Norman's help. Didn't he want to be reunited with his parents? Wasn't he scared to be by his lonesome at a time like this, where the whole state had gone to hell in a wash of panic and distress? The kid was acting so flippant about everything, and it bothered Norman. Not just because it came off as obnoxious, but because it also furthered the idea that he may know this boy from somewhere - the attitude was so...familai.
"Norman." The Goblin spoke aloud in Norman's head, echoing through his brain. "Did that boy say his dad has been in 'wars'? As in, plural?" Norman could see the Goblin in his mind, the green guise grinning in glee. Norman felt himself start to sweat lightly as he rattled his brain, trying to understand what the Goblin was telling him, clenching his fists in his pockets. "How many old men with kids that young do you know that have been in more than one war - and not only that, but 'plenty?'" The Goblin asked, egging Norman on to figure out the answer himself. Norman looked down at the boy with wide eyes. Who was this child? Why was he standing in Norman's way so much? Norman wiped the sweat from his brow and rubbed his eyes. He needed to stay stable - he wasn't going to do anything to this boy - at least, not in public.
But Norman quickly looked around and noticed everyone in the vicinity had disappeared. The Lizard exhibit had closed for the day while the boy and him stared each other down, and there was no reason for anyone to be cutting through to get to the other animals. The section of the zoo was a ghost town. Norman turned his gaze back on the boy, narrowing his eyes. "Find out who he is Norman! You know! You know who he is! HAHAHAHA!!!" The Goblin yelled out in his mind, his crazed laughter filling Norman's head. Norman's pulse increased, his thoughts slipping to rash action rather than calm demeanor. The Goblin had a point - how many people could have been in multiple wars at this point in time? Did Norman really know this kid?
"W-who are you?" Norman struggled to regain composure as he stared down the boy, focusing on the hood he wore. He didn't give the kid time to answer. "WHO ARE YOU??" Norman yelled, his eyes growing wide. Before he knew it, he had reached across in haste, his body moving before his mind could process anything that was happening. He grabbed the hooded tightly with white knuckles, and thrust the cloth backwards to reveal the boy's face. The warm daylight illuminated the young man's features.
Norman gasped, quickly recoiling his hand. It was him - it had to be. The face was younger, but the eyes were the same. It was his old ally, the man who once sat at the table with him, scheming and plotting, figuring out how to remove Asgard from Earth. The man who had given Parker his otherworldly powers to resume his reign as The Hood under Norman's employ. The man who had become not only part of Norman's Cabal, but one of the only members to not force his hand against them. The man who Norman saw die, giving his life to protect them against the Void which was unleashed upon Osborn's defeat. But it wasn't a man now...it was a boy. Norman took a step back, his mind trying to digest what he had just seen.

This was a dangerous game that he was playing. The child knew this. It was only made safer by the fact that he had managed to do this to Mephisto before he ended up here. But he had a lot more heart than his previous self who could hide it so expertly, even infront of those who had no care for life. He had known how to use the situation. But there was one important thing to consider. Now, Loki had less magic and his only way to survive was to bluff his way. Whether it was a simple one way bluff or this more complicated bluff where he was pretending to be his former self pretending to be another person to see if this man could recognise him. At least it kept him in practice.
Of course, the situation did have a chance of loosing control pretty quickly. Loki knew enough about the Green Goblin and Norman Osborn to be wary. He was Asgardian (technically Jotun, but he ignored that) and thus super strong but it wouldn't save him. Besides, he needed this man. Green eyes darted nervously around yet the kid tried as hard as possible to keep them relatively fixed - to keep up the appearance of a boy who wasn't too bothered by the situation. The immediate area was emptying. Things were quietening down. Good time for villains. Not too good for him. He could have used having innocents around, after all Osborn had appearances to keep up.
The man stuttered slightly, composure broken, as much as he tried to pull it back together. Loki had barely enough time to consider what this meant before his hood was pulled down, revealing his head, black underhood hiding unruly black hair, topped with a golden crown that rested on his brow. Green eyes shone from his face as he stared up, eyes glittering with amusement. A false amusement that he was putting in for show. He had to appear to find this whole situation funny. After all, his old self would have found this situation to have some humour in it.
His name was stuttered out and the man was now a step further. The trickster made a move to straighten his circlet and his tunic. "About time, I thought you would have figured it out earlier," He said, calm as ever, a grin on his face. "I would say it's good to see you again but the circumstances that have lead us here aren't exactly great." Loki kept his voice colder than it usually was and keeping a slight dark, slightly evil and crazed tint to it. He couldn't afford to get into a fight and he needed the extra help. He could lie all day if he had to.

Norman's mind was back at Asgard, the architecture crumbling around them, soot filling the air, explosions raging as the whole thing was coming down in masterful destruction. Norman was on his knees, simply watching, the world moving slowly, so slowly. He saw the Void's mass, its rigid, monstrous forms shamble, looking for prey. It was attacked by Captain America's shield, and Thor's hammer, enchanted by Asgardian magic, and still did not go down. Norman could feel his heart beating in his chest, the world around him crumbling down. The Void moved swiftly, violently, and ripped into Loki with all its power, the force shredding the mischief maker into pieces before erupting. More than anything, that symbolized the end of everything. His plans, his power, his control.
Norman's thoughts were interrupted by the child speaking, his mannerisms and tone exactly as Norman had remembered. Those green eyes gleamed with roguery and deceit. Oddly enough, Norman found comfort in those eyes - maybe because he too shared that gaze so much, his plans and schemes always hiding in the background of what his face showed. he knew that Loki was infinitely more conniving than he was, though - after all, he apparently hadn't died that day, and fooled them all. He still couldn't believe Loki was alive. How? Was it because of the 'pocket dimension' they were trapped in? Maybe Loki was reborn as a child after his death? Norman wiped the sweat from his brow, trying to regain his composure. This must be what Spider-Man felt like when Norman appeared in front of the hero after his falsified death.
Loki spoke calmly with a grin on his face. Norman cleared his throat, residual nervousness still echoing within him. "Loki...how...I saw you die." Norman managed to squeeze out, still trying to assemble his thoughts. "I mean..." Norman stopped - he had to compose himself. He couldn't be seen as weak around Loki - he trusted the god, but knew that their previous alliance was one forged of convenience, and if he were to possibly work with the rogue again he would need to keep his wits about him. "The Void killed you. I assume you had to plan to regenerate yourself in case of death?" Norman asked, finally cementing his mind in place. "I didn't expect our siege on Asgard to escalate so much. Those damn Avengers and their self-righteous ways ruined everything." He spoke to Loki, once more treating him as an equal, though even Norman had to admit it felt a bit strange to be doing so.
"I have a new plan." Norman spoke coyly. "A new plan to take down the heroes that are trapped in this dominion with us and rule over it." He had to be careful about what he said - he couldn't give too much away. Norman liked keeping things up his sleeves, and laying down all of his cards made him feel too vulnerable to be okay with it, especially when dealing with someone like Loki. However, having the god on his side would make things so much easier. The heroes seemed to be gaining allies in a flurry, while as far as he knew, he was the only real opposition. He needed to change that by finding allies wherever he could, and he knew Loki was a good one to have.

The fact that Osborn's words were stuttered was good, the trickster decided. There was shock. He could use that as a shield for the start of this conversation. If Osborn was nervous there would be more allowances for any change between himself and his older self. Or at least the trickster hoped that would work if he slacked. Of course, Loki was going to do his best not to let on. After all, he was meant to be good at this. He already knew how to play evil and most others merely just needed that to connect him with his former self. He could hide his heart and play this game. No one would be any the wiser. A gave a slight chuckle at the stuttering, how Osborn pointed out that he had been seen dying and then the man had to stop to compose himself. Mischief twinkled in his eyes and on the curve of the smile on his lips.
Waiting for the man to speak with his reiterated thoughts, he kept the smirk on his face at the situation that he seemed to have put the man through. "Naturally. There's no way that I would allow someone such as myself to die." She said, sounding smug as he gave a shrug. In truth he had decided to die from Loki could work out. He had wanted to have a new life because he had become too predictable in his evil actions and that was not good for a God of Chaos. "Yes, those pesky heroes do have a habit of getting in the way," He said, sounding slightly frustrated behind the coolness of his voice. It was important to keep everything balanced in this game. Not a hair out of place and so on.
Listening to the plan that Osborn put forwards, Loki kept his expression blank as he took in this plan. I really was rather one track, wasn't I? He thought as he took in the plan that had been put to him. It didn't appeal at all to the little trickster although he was certain that his former self would be inclined to go along with it. Still, Loki had his own designs to put forwards but he was going to have to be careful. He couldn't give everything away and most certainly had to hide the fact that he was now on the side of the heroes that Osborn wanted to take down. But he couldn't hesitate for too long as he thought about how to play this and which piece to use. Sharp and fast. That was how he played.
"An interesting plan but rather one track, don't you think?" He said, a slightly evil grin on his face. Already he had managed to get modifications to the plan that Norman had suggested that would keep in line but would also provide Loki himself with a good escape if it did work out. Because the trickster did not want to be in public as a villain. He wasn't getting type cast again. "The problem that we face is that we are trapped here. No way in or out. And everyone around us has the same problem. If we could make a gateway back to our own dimensions," He deliberately let this little piece of information slip but he wasn't going to give anything else of that sort to the villain with such ease. "Then we have control of it. We can get the people on our side here and thus back in our dimension. And what can the heroes do? Those that are here will remain trapped and as long as the humans loyal to us are the only ones who go through, the heroes in our dimension will be none the wiser." He suggested, green eyes fixed on Osborn with malice in the back of them. He needed to get the many to buy into this plan rather than simply taking this small realm.

Norman watched Loki, the boy's eyes gleaming with thought and planning. Norman had grown so accustomed to those eyes while they worked together, but was still slightly uncomfortable around them. Norman liked to be in control of his plans and Loki had a way of having his own endgame, which made him sometimes a wild card. Still, if their motivations aligned, he knew Loki was a good partner to have, one that had not only a lot of power, but a sharp mind that could unravel situations as fast as they occurred. Still, this new form seemed...odd. Did Loki disguise himself as a child to hide among the masses? Was he any weaker in this state? These were important questions Norman needed answers to, if only to have as background knowledge. He liked to know weaknesses for his enemies and allies alike. He would have to keep those questions on the back burner for now, though - he was just happy to see another schemer in the mix.
Loki's suggestions intrigued Norman, his words twisting Norman's plan into something entirely different, the trickster letting slip that there was indeed an escape from this twisted mirror of the New York he was once part of. Norman's eyebrows raised at the remark, surprised. "So there is an escape? Do you know of it, Loki?" If the Asgardian knew about an exit and hadn't taken it himself, it had to be for good reason. Norman brought a steady hand to his mouth and began to pull at his bottom lip slightly, thinking about the implications of Loki's plans. It seemed like a good idea - why try and dominate this realm when they could leave and seal the heroes in it, progressing back to a dimension with no more 'saviors?' In fact, a vision was already shaping in Norman's mind -one of the Green Goblin ruling over all, taking control of the United States and forming a new Goblin Nation. The Green Goblin's laugh echoed in his head deviously at the thought, and Norman couldn't help but smile. He looked back down at Loki, newfound strength captured in his eyes as he lusted after the power Loki's plan presented.
"Yes...you're right. We could leave this realm and trap all of those annoyances behind in it. We would finally be in a world that we could control without interference, ruling over all those mongrels who desperately need to know their place in the world." Norman spoke, evil curling behind his eyes as he processed the plan and started laying the groundwork in his mind. "I have been gaining favoritism with the populous here. It may take me a little bit more time to tide them all over, but that will be a powerful asset to us. Once the people are on our side, it will be hard for the heroes to touch us." He eyed Loki inquisitively, cocking an eyebrow. "However, the heroes seem to be flooding in here in much larger quantities than I would like. Perhaps we should eliminate some in the meantime? We can't risk our plan slowing because fo them." Norman suggested. With Loki's power collaborating with him, he knew they would be able to dominate some of the heroes trapped with them. His plan would time some time to fester, and the more heroes that came into the situation, the more they may try and stop it. They had the opportunity to nip it in the bud now, before it became severe.

This was a game that he was playing, a game that Osborn would be playing as well. And Loki hoped that he had the more hidden cards. At least he could be fairly certain that Osborn didn't know that he had changed sides. He could see no signs that the man was aware of it although no doubt he would want to know what affects this had on his power. And he couldn't let him know, considering that his power was a lot less than what it had once been. Barely any thought when to Ikol who was silently watching, eyes glinting, invisible to all but Loki who wasn't looking as he continued to play the game and the bird had seemed to manipulated him into. Well he wasn't going to give up and he was going to play this to the best of his ability.
Watching as his words took affect like dominos, the child could almost smile to himself. To be fair, it seemed like it was a good thing that he had caught up with Osborn. With any luck, he might have been able to divert a world/dimension domination plan which would have been awkward to deal with if it got further than the initial stages. "Well, if I had found it, I wouldn't be here, would I?" He asked with a slight chuckle on his lips before his face became serious once more. "There is always an escape, a way out. You just have to look hard enough. Whether it's by finding a root of Yggdrasil to transverse on or creating a portal with the science of Midgard, there will be a way. After all, we were put here. That requires a door of some sort, does it not?" He questioned. He had to make this seem appealing and workable. He had to believe that they could find a way back.
It seemed the fish had taken the bait.
Loki's smile mirrored that of Osborn and he allowed false hunger for power to flicker like flames in the green orbs of his eyes. "Indeed. And we would not be left with the dregs that get chucked in here but a whole and healthy empire. Or as healthy as those mongrels can get," He said, using the term Osborn had used for extra affect. Of course, Loki planned to bring the heroes back through as well. But Osborn didn't need to now that. Continuing to listen, his heart went cold as he heard the words about killing some of the heroes. Loki had spoken to a fair few of them. They had welcomed him. There was no way that he could allow them to die. So in other words, he needed to think of a quick way to still be a villain but make sure that no one died.
"It's good that you're getting support once more. We'll need it. Especially with bringing the population through and leaving the heroes here to rot. But I do not think we can afford to kill them. If they team against us, then we can't move forwards with our plans. And they will figure us out, they always seem annoying good at that. Besides, if you get the support of the population, maybe the heroes would have to help you figure out how to open the door back to our home. Think about how much more humiliating it will be for them then. And when we're safely back home, we can laugh at them and they won't even have a chance to know. Stuck here. For eternity. For any of those that can live that long, anyway," He said with a shrug. He did enjoy villainous talk more than he should care to admit and found himself more than good at it on occasion, he just hoped that it would be believable.
